I've waited a couple days to see if this would get brought to the board from the usual suspects that bring a mass gun shooting to the board. Nope, crickets.
How about we do multiple choice and see why.

Was it because......

A. A knife was used.
B. The guy was muslim.
C. The guy was black.
D. All of the above.

Pilot stabbing: Three killed, one injured at Tennessee truck stop

1. There's a national lockdown due to a pandemic
2. Most of this board doesn't live in Knoxville
3. 3 dead from a stabbing is pretty pedestrian when compared to any actual mass murder that happens here
4. The threads are generally a shitshow.

I read the same attempt in the gun thread. You should go there and read it

My father did business all over the state for 30 years. He always said Knoxville/East TN was at least twenty years behind the rest of the state from a business and social perspective. I spent three years going to Knoxville for SunTrust and our employees up there were dumb as dirt. That place was an HR nightmare. No one in Nashville, Atlanta or Orlando was sad to see us close the Knoxville bank operation center.

Hopefully the county had projected 500 stabbing deaths this year so the masses can pat themselves on the back for beating projections.
I missed when the county rolled out the largest anti-stabbing protocol in history.

What did I stereotype? That Knoxville is behind bigger cities? That we had dumb managers and HR problems in Knoxville? Try all you like to be butthurt but these things are/were true. East TN is not the most cosmopolitan part of the state.
