Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I didn't say that at all. I think we have a pretty good idea of where Biden stands on most policy issues and who he would appoint to his cabinet, and nominate to the judiciary. Biden has a long track after 8 years as Vice President and 36 years in the Senate. Biden just doesn't inspire anyone on ideology. He isn't a commanding presence like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were... but again, this election isn't about him. It's a referendum on Trump,
You would think that he would have fixed all the problems by now.

When they are calling people who die from heart disease, cancer and anything else victims of CV-19 and still their numbers wont come close. Most reasonable people know they are full of bull Schiff
no, they are calling people who have Covid-19 and other underlying issues victims of Covid-19, which is true. The Covid-19 triggers the underlying issues which were present before but manageable. I think the question that is asked and answered, was the person managing the underlying issues. Would they have died that day if Covid-19 was not present in their system. If the answer is yes, they were managing their health, and no they would not have died without Covid-19 in their system, they are being classified as casualties of Covid-19.
Who is this they? You are saying there is a coordinated effort between ME's in 50 states to inflate these numbers....that is a pretty tall task. Do they have a private group chat?

Apparently it’s the same way in New York. Lots of people have walked by the major hospitals and filmed the exteriors for hours. The news was saying that people were in big lines outside to get tested and blah blah blah. Turns out that’s not the case. I really think we are being manipulated.
My boss asked why they didn't test me, she said you could have come to the ED, it wasn't busy at all....arrrgh

Again we administer far worse drugs on a daily basis to try and help people with far worse side effects , and yet we hear crickets when talking about them . There are more than 2-3 cases that’s it’s shown to help and If I had to guess , those people they would tell you to go kick rocks .
The difference is those drugs that are being administered are specifically marketed towards that ailment, and the side effects are known. You are advocating taking a drug designed for malaria, autoimmune disorder, and other ailments to be used on a virus where there has been no studies done. As I said, I am sure that it has been administered to people and it did not help them. Science and healthcare is out of my wheelhouse....I am sure it is out of donald's as well. Doctor's have to weight the side effects vs the benefits.

Does it surprise you that hospitals are using it as a treatment ? If you specially had a family member that had to go in to be treated for Covid and you had two choices ... the hospital that is giving it to try to save lives or the one thats worried about litigation later and won’t administer it , which are you choosing ?

She has shut down most of the city, but she has to follow the Governor's guidelines as well....State mandates override those of the city.

The reality is you re going to see failings across the country on state and local levels. Those have happened in Blue States and major cities no different than Red states and major cities. And in some cases mixed governments with both.

The "but Trump..." crowd will largely ignore that.

Isn't the economy Trump's thing? If something were to grab his attention, someone might think it would be a dire warning from his economic advisor.

Then again, maybe the economy has been on autopilot this whole time, and Trump has been riding the wave of inevitability, and intervention couldn't have made a difference in where we are now.

Navarro's memo was dated Jan 29,, the same day Trump created the task force, eight days after discovering our first C19 patient using the test CDC developed after receiving the genome sequence on Jan 11/12. Two days before declaring national health emergency, China travel ban and quarantine, and less than two weeks before executive order had our military initiate pandemic protocol.

Economies freed from tax and regulatory restraints usually do autopilot until bureaucrats poke it with a stick to see if it'll bite or play dead. Science-based intervention has killed the economy and has not been asked to explain itself.

Yeah, he was a little late though the new total projected US deaths are at 60K and that's expected to drop again this weekend
I need to see if I can find my prediction on the number of deaths from coronavirus a couple of weeks ago. When they were predicting 200,000, I said 61,000 and change. I don't remember the exact number, but I put it on here, somewhere in the 33,747 posts in this thread.

Right. To. Try. There is no proven, tested, drug for this. You really expect the world to just sit there and not try something?

Yes, given the documented side effects. I don't think anyone wants to be a guinea pig either.
