Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

But they limit it as a preventative although Drs are taking it themselves as a preventative. Keep up lib. Enough with talking points.
Trump is not a doctor and wants to be right so he can crow about it. Dr. Oz and Dr. Drew are looney and I don't care about James Woods Or Hannity's or Rush Limbaugh's opinion. Nor do I care about what Rachel Maddow tells me to do. . If a real doctor that I personally trust wants me to take it, then I will gladly do that.

It's not FDA approved for this, which is the MD's point and why the president of the AMA said it shouldn't be prescribed without further study. Primum non nocere...
But what do you want to bet that the AMA President would suddenly have RA, Lupus or plan travel to a malaria zone if he tested positive.

Fascinating how wide ranging experience is on the flu shot. I don't currently take it but understand and for the most part encourage family and friends with underlying medical conditions to seriously consider it.

My wife refuses to take it, instilled fear from her idiot mother, and gets the flu every 2-3 years.

Lol that's what everyone of the people above that you felt the need to trash are saying. And yes you are probably right a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon is looney

Yes, not approved. Not sure what you mean about backing up my point with "he said", I didn't say that. The president of the AMA is a woman.

Yes, you backed up your argument with the equivalent of ....I found another person in a world of 6 billion that agrees with me. Good job.

Wouldn't it be very positive to have as an outcome of this Corona Virus people developing good habits and less yearly spread of the flu?

I totally agree with your post. As I age I am more interested in conversation with my physician about the positive benefits of having the shot and it's potential to make it less life threatening. But I am also getting the other side of the coin from my chiropractor about the benefits of not getting the shot
When I think disease prevention i also plan to make my first stop the chiropractor

edit: Guess this needs a tag

My wife gets on me every year about not getting the flu shot to the point that she has basically said if you die from the flu it's on you. She is a nurse and they pretty much have her completely brainwashed about vaccinations to the point that if the doctor recommends it for us for the kids we 100% have to have it.

That being said I have only had the flu shot once in my adult life. I got coerced into getting the flu shot when I was 20. Coincidentally this was the only year in my adult life that I have gotten the flu.

In the past two years my wife, parents and kids have gotten the flu shot. My wife has gotten the flu, my parents have gotten the flu and my son has gotten the flu.

The lone ranger non-flu shot recipient of the family has not gotten it. Coincidence? I think not.
Yes the data shows it is a coincidence. Your kids should be vaccinated also

We're talking about the prescribing of medication off label for a virus with an unproven, untested indication that has contraindications. Yes, it's true - I'm appealing to the authority of the people who are educated in and have expertise in prescribing medication. Rational folks defer to physicians in this instance, apparently you defer to real estate agents.

Are you referring to the Drs who they themselves are taking the meds as a preventative?

How would one go about getting this medication without it being prescribed by a physician?

There are physicians all over the place agreeing with doing this. You are just seeking someone who agrees with you to make you feel better about your argument. Physicians are not en masse protesting the usage of this. But stick with your gut.

Doc: "Well, we have this drug. It has proven in some cases to help tremendously in treating this virus. It's not 100% that it will cure you though. We can't use it though because the government hasn't done the proper studies and trials that can take up to several years."

Patient: "What does that mean for me, doc?"

Doc: "You're gonna die, son."

Is it possible to research all medical "experts" of the clinical trial mindset portfolio for Chinese influence? That's right I said it. If they have a hint of China in their personal portfolio that should be public information especially if they are compensated by our govt.
