I mean its a sitcom so I am not trying to go super in depth here but what redeeming qualities does he have? He is a sexist, homophobic and racist. He thinks any woman that is nice to him wants to date him.

He isn't intentionally funny anytime something funny happens it is because of his complete awkwardness or he's being a jerk. He is incompetent and is a terrible boss. He is selfish and egotistical even though he has no reason to be. I just do not get it.
