Their response. "Go to the store!" It sounds like the prudent thing to do. Stock up and hope you don't need to go back for days. The problem is a lot of people think that way. It doesn't take much intelligence to figure out what happens next. Heck, before TN actually made it law people were packing stores and buying up.

Yeah, I know. I saw the same thing yesterday, it'd be damned near impossible to stop the grocery rush following a stay at home order. It may come down to having certain times for different people to go shopping. Not sure how it would be done, but these are things, I hope are being thought about.

States have run programs paying ~$15/hr to get people to pick produce. Most quit after the first day. It is backbreaking work and if you’ve ever done it with hispanics they are working circles around you while you’re wondering where the water cooler is.

People who go out into public places need to wear a face mask and gloves. I wear my N95 to work and to the grocery store.

Exactly, and thats just from the idea of you being able to obtain goods that you need on an every day basis.

From the virus standpoint, you are herding more frantic people into confined areas (that is essential they have to go) which is the 100% opposite of what you are trying to do.

Right or wrong. Stay at home orders create panic. Even the possibility creates panic. Sometimes they have to be put in place, other times its not as cut and dry.
The government (all levels) need the populace to figure it out. When they have to do it, it creates other problems you can't get around.

I think that’s all about your location , other than TP ( Smdh) we haven’t had a problem getting anything between the grocery stores, Walmart or dollar general . What you should be “ hoping “ is all these truckers that I’ve seen made fun of for being redneck, overweight , Mountain Dew drinking , CB talking , Trump supporting , low information voting , low educated , rubes .. hold out long enough to keep our supply chains going until more can be trained and garner enough OTR experience to help them . Do something besides hope .. think about this for a second , these guys and gals can’t go in anywhere and sit down for a meal now . They can’t go through a drive thru window because they don’t fit and can’t walk up to the window because of insurance policies. The next time you see one , tell them how much they are a appreciated and buy them a Big Mac and a Mountain Dew .

Edit : that wasn’t all meant for you , just a general FYI . Maybe something we don’t think about and should more .

I don't think so. Now greed on the other hand. . . how else do you explain the TP shortage and rationing? I know people can be huge assholes, but come on.

Well..to the liquor store. Thanks to Costco and pounds of frozen veggies and vacuum sealed cooked chicken breast Im ready for the apocalypse!

FIL went to Costco yesterday. Clerk told him they get two pallets of TP each morning and it’s the first thing gone. I haven’t talked to a single person that has a bunch so I don’t know where these hoarding idiots are.

I will go where ever I want, this weekend I plan to go check on my boat, I plan to go to a friends house, liquor store (multiple times) and just for spite I may just drive around in my gas guzzling truck
