The current “death rate” (or whatever you want to call death/confirmed cases) is exactly the same for NY as for the country as a whole.

I'm not watching but picking up from Twitter that the press conference today is mostly serious. As in, what they should have had one month ago.

CNN wasn't airing Trump (petty) so I turned it on MSNBC. Trump is very somber today. Apparently had a friend who was fine one day, went into the hospital and now in a coma. No smart assery comments today.

Something shady is going on without a doubt. Its just strange this is happening on an election year, not to mention the media is blatantly hyping this thing up and scaring people. Makes me wonder if the government is seeing how easy it is to control us. We failed the test.

Nah, we adapt and move forward. Hopefully we can have abundant decontamination supplies (alcohol) and at least minimal protective equipment (masks and gloves) within a month.

It’s clear the media wants the the economy to crash. They want it to crash because they feel it’s the best chance to beat Trump, remember they have been begging for a recession for 3 years. Also they will never forget how easy it was to make 70% ish stay in their homes without any hassle from the people

No, it's really a very somber press conference. I seldom have seen Trump when he wasn't FOS, but he seems to be pretty straight forward today.
