Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It's time-- long past time -- for a 14 day national stay at home order. It is inevitable and the longer we wait to do it more people will needlessly get sick and more will die.

Until there is a vaccine there is no getting rid of this virus and we are moths away at minimum to having a vaccine. So we shut the world down for 14 days the minute we open it back up we get another outbreak what do you do then?

A baby doesnt have a choice to avoid abortion. Everyone else here has a choice regarding their exposures to a virus that is circulating.
not if people refuse to shelter in place for an extended period of time because, money. The longer people refuse to shelter in place for an extended period of time, the longer this thing will go on. Temporary pain, long term gain so to speak.

15 days .

That headline is misleading, I don't think there has ever been a time when triaging patients for medical resources hasn't been SOP. Looks like that hospital is just articulating established protocol.
So, if she comes in there with her kidney failure, you think she will still be treated ahead of someone else? She is very young and has two kids. She was really upset last night. Yes, she's doing the best she can to stay quarantined while going to dialysis---unfortunately, she can't control what other people do.

Opening it back up with better containment and replenished protective equipment is preferable to running out naked into the middle of it.

Also tracking the spread of state by state cases per capita. This is sorted on the March 23rd data highest to lowest.

I'm not sure what you're asking. I think it's both morally and ethically acceptable for HCP's to allocate scarce medical resources in a manner that will produce the best outcome for the largest number of people.

Endless public facebook shaming.
I get it every day on there every day when someone feels the need to post the daily positives and deaths, I always respond with 2 things: "Now tell us how many positives we have on the flu" and when I say thing like "we are worried about this over 3 deaths?" or "so .01594% have tested positive and we close the state down over that?" People get very mad at me, usually the women on there

I'll just say that I believe being young would likely make her a better candidate for treatment than others in her situation. Although, that's not to say having a few contingency plans isn't in order.

They probably get more frustrated than mad. When trying to have a discussion with a fool, frustration usually happens. Which is probably a general reaction people have when talking with you about anything other than cartoons. Judging from your post, you take pride in people getting frustrated with you. Somehow that means that you are "winning". In reality it only shows your lack of knowledge.

The problem becomes you're talking about amputation over a splinter. Luther logic is astoundingly selfish. It seems you're okay with people suffering if it costs Trump another four years. Four years, luther. You can't wait out four years without wishing ill will on others? One side or the other is always going to be dissatisfied with who sits in the Oval Office, but most people aren't going to hope for suffering to get that person out. Your degrees and continuums are out of whack.
That's insane.
My whole goal is to minimize suffering.
Selfish would be voting to keep someone in office who you know is horrendously despicably simply because they help your pocket book a tad more than you think the other candidate would.

The Constitution is not law. How many times do we have to tell you. We have a whole branch of government designed to interpret it,
WTF? The Constitution is very much law. Where in the hell did you go to school that they taught you the Constitution wasn't law?

If we are shut down how is that PPE going to get replenished?

We haven't shut down, and allocating available PPE resources to the essential folk, in the short term, allows for responsible procurement, so we can more safely carry on in the long term.
