Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

The coronavirus is a threat because it is very adaptive, It mutates. It will pass but the goal is to build up a societal immunity to this strain, be it nature or vaccines. Until a vaccine is developed., all of us can help minimize the spread and the loss of life.

"The coronavirus is not mutating significantly as it circulates through the human population, according to scientists who are closely studying the novel pathogen’s genetic code. That relative stability suggests the virus is less likely to become more or less dangerous as it spreads, and represents encouraging news for researchers hoping to create a long-lasting vaccine"

I understand we need to help local businesses but how are drive through restaurant's, pickups, deliveries sanitized? The person shoving a sack of burgers out the window has just made contact with 50 other customers. They're not tossing their gloves after each transaction. They are protecting themselves not the customer. Not to mention what's happening in the prep area. Pizza delivery? Officials have stated the virus can live on cardboard for several hours. How is any of this wise?

You wash your hands when you get home. And wash them again after getting the food out. Try not to stick your hands in your mouth on the way home.

It doesn't mutate as it circulates, it mutates over years. It's here to stay in one form or another and we will always have to be trying to keep on top of the next one. Unless you believe god just put it here late last year. We've already been battling it for 15 years.

The ChiCom Propaganda Offensive Is Real and Ongoing, and the Democrat-Media Complex Are Complicit

First, the Chinese Communist Party covered up the virus, then they prevaricated with the help of the World Heath Organization, then they shifted into propaganda mode to try to deflect the truth about the origins of the Chinese plague and their cover-up and lack of cooperation with public health authorities around the world.

That is the authoritarian Chinese Communist Party in action. Let’s take a glimpse at how their massive propaganda onslaught is taking shape through a sampling of semi-official Chinese media.

First, the ChiComs are cleaning house by controlling potential leakers to Westerners in China, kicking out Western journalists in order to tightly control the information about what the ChiComs claim is happening in China, and then ramping up the propaganda campaign to shift blame for the virus elsewhere. This first excerpt is from Reporters Without Borders, an international organization that supports and monitors free press activities around the world:

China is on a roll today. They can stick their products and propaganda up their wazoo.

If that is the case take a look at the data and please provide a counterargument. My goal was not to be intellectually dishonest but to show the data that is on the website (some may require some additional clicking and digging) and present what I found.

Several media pundits and posters on here have taken the death rate of the CoronaVirus as purely being deaths vs. positive cases. The CDC website referenced by another poster has data on the flu for this season and historical data where you can perform the same calculation. This year's version of the flu has been a rough one and that is supported by the data on the website and by the number that I represented.

The purpose of this exercise it to show that even though the CoronaVirus as it sits in the US has a 1.5% death rate and this year's flu with the same data shows a 2.2% death rate. Do I believe that the death rate of this year's flu is 2.2%? No I firmly believe that the 0.1% death rate that has been reported by many is accurate. Come to find out that although that number is more than likely true from data the CDC has to make an estimation on the total number of cases in order to achieve the 0.1%. They even say as much on the front page of the "Weekly US Influenza Surveillance Report" when they say the CDC estimates that so far this season there were 38 million flu illnesses.

The problem is with measuring CoronaVirus you are going to have to do the same thing. Although we cannot accurately estimate how many have been infected like we can with the flu one has to assume that the virus has infected much more than what the positive tests are showing therefore potentially drastically decreasing the mortality rate than what is currently being reported.

Please provide your data and counterargument.

There is no argument or counterargument. The data stands as presented by the CDC. All of the following are either screenshot, copied, or linked from the source you quoted, and none of it claims a 2.2% death rate for the flu as I read it:

CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 38 million flu illnesses, 390,000 hospitalizations and 23,000 deaths from flu.

Kind of surprised that democrats haven't organized an corona virus awareness march/protest yet.
I'm surprised that paranoid Republicans haven't called the Coronavirus a hoax, concocted by Democrats and the mainstream media to sabotage Donald Trump's re-election bid ...

... oh, wait a minute. Trump has done that, and Trish Regan (her show has been shelved) of Fox News did as well.

While not a hoax the democrats will not pass this chance up to go after Trump at the expense of Americans. Its already a proven fact that democrats hate America weather its decades of oppression and violence or decades of dangling a carrot that their voters never seems to reach...
