Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Yep this is my experience too...trails I used to see very few ppl on are crowded...saw at least 50 people fishing or just sitting and drinking or bringing their pets out for a walk at the bay at sunset today...it's kinda nice to see to be honest

I think it's kinda terrible. I like having the trails essentially to myself.

Trump has re-committed himself to the refrain of minimizing the virus. The science does not support him. If in fact come Easter it is still rampant and overwhelming hospitals as predicted, he can kiss reelection goodbye.
President Donald Trump on January 22nd: "No. Not at all. And - we're - we have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It's going to be just fine." (when he was asked by a CNBC reporter if he was concerned about the Coronavirus becoming a pandemic)

President Donald Trump on January 30th: "We think we have it very well under control. We have very little problem at this moment - five - and those people are all recuperating successfully. But we're working very closely with China and other countries, and we think it's going to have a very good ending for us ... that I can assure you."

President Donald Trump on February 23rd: "We have it very much under control in this country."

President Donald Trump on February 24th: "The Coronavirus is very much under control in the U.S.A. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me."

President Donald Trump on February 26th: "And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done."

President Donald Trump on March 7th: "No, I'm not concerned at all. No, we've done a great job with it." (when asked if he was concerned about the virus showing in Washington D.C.)

...and finally, we get to this gem:

President Donald Trump on March 17th: "This is a pandemic. I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic. All you had to do was look at other countries. No, I've always viewed it as very serious."

I post this to not only show how brutally inarticulate that Trump is, but also what a flat out liar he is. It's okay, though. Trump's legion of fanboys, some of whom post to this forum, will accept his lie at face value. Yeah, you called it all along, Donald. It's a pandemic.

You forgot to post the responses of Congress November, December, and January. Without those this post looks like political bias.

You don't have such blatant dishonesty with anyone else, though (well, except maybe for Richard Burr). You can't reconcile the two quotes posted below with each other. Donald Trump is a brazen liar, who depends on unconditional support from his followers. He also depends on them having short memories and being really stupid.

1) President Donald Trump on January 22nd: "No. Not at all. And - we're - we have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China. We have it under control. Lol keep beating this drum.... No one gives a crap. You love to cite polls all the time, how does 60% approval on handing Covid 19 sit with you? Or did I read that wrong as well?

I expect to be let go the end of the week. My brother in law was let go earlier this week. My stepson was let go last week. This will financially ruin hundreds of thousands of Americans if not millions. The larger cities need to be locked down, essential only. But other areas not densely populated can operate with common sense. Sometimes the side effects of the medicine aren't worth it.

Again, all BS. Tell me what was on the minds of Congress those three months.

When you answer it truthfully and no political bias, it should now lead to this question.

What could President Trump do on his own while Congress had impeachment hoax tunnel vision?

Here's your fake MSM. Your fake stories. Your fake Russia. Your fake hoax. Your fake everything. Your TDS leads to this type of behavior and this is an elected official. He needs drug out of his office in to the streets by the hair of his head.

I'd love to know his explanation for this. It should be left up to doctors to decide if they want to administer the drug to their patients.

I'm really sorry. This is going to put a lot of people in serious hardship. Good luck to you... I hope things work out well for you and your family.

Back up a bit.
Jan. 2: Chinese researchers map the new coronavirus' complete genetic information. This information is not made public until Jan. 9.
Jan. 14:
WHO announces Chinese authorities have seen "no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel coronavirus."
Jan. 15: The patient who becomes the first confirmed U.S. case leaves Wuhan and arrives in the U.S., carrying the coronavirus.
Jan. 19: Beijing sends epidemiologists to Wuhan.
Jan. 20: Zhong Nanshan, a top Chinese doctor who is helping to coordinate the coronavirus response, announces the virus can be passed between people.
Jan. 21: The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirms the first coronavirus case in the United States.
Jan. 22: Now we can refer to Trump's comment with some context. CCP flagship newspaper People’s Daily mentions the coronavirus epidemic and Xi's actions to fight it for the first time.
Jan. 23: Wuhan and three other cities are put on lockdown. Right around this time, approximately 5 million people leave the city without being screened for the illness.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jan. 24–30: China celebrates the Lunar New Year holiday. Hundreds of millions of people are in transit around the country as they visit relatives.

Amid criticism that Beijing was not being transparent, Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was effusive in praise;

“The continued increase in cases and the evidence of human-to-human transmission outside China are of course both deeply concerning,” said Tedros. “Although the numbers outside China are still relatively small, they hold the potential for a much larger outbreak,” he continued. “For that, China deserves our gratitude and respect … China is implementing very serious measures and we cannot ask for more.

“China has been completely committed to transparency, both internally and externally, and has agreed to work with other countries that need support,...“The level of commitment (of the leadership) in China is incredible; I will praise China again and again, because its actions actually helped in reducing the spread of the novel coronavirus to other countries … we shall tell the truth and that’s the truth,” he concluded."

“The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide,” Xi Jinping said this week. “The Chinese government has always adopted an open, transparent and responsible attitude to the timely release of information on the epidemic, domestically and to other countries.”

Gee, these guys sound like brothers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
President Donald Trump on January 30th: "We think we have it very well under control. We have very little problem at this moment - five - and those people are all recuperating successfully. But we're working very closely with China and other countries, and we think it's going to have a very good ending for us ... that I can assure you."

And that was accurate; the WHO didn't declare a Public Health Emergency of International Concern until this day. The first U.S. case was just one week prior and the U.S. would not record a related death until Febuary 29th. The WHO was telling the world what a awesome job China was doing, and our agencies, nor any other countries, should have not listened to WHO or China.
Jan 27: Trump announces travel ban of China
Jan 30: WHO declares a Public Health Emergency of International Concern.
Jan 31: Trump declares a Public Health Emergency.

Transcript of President Trump and COVID-19 Task Force Press Conference…
Feb: 29, the CDC announces first person in U.S. to die of COVID-19-related illness.
President Donald Trump on March 7th: "No, I'm not concerned at all. No, we've done a great job with it." (when asked if he was concerned about the virus showing in Washington D.C.)

Yes, he should have thrown the CDC under the bus since they took us from Feb 4 into March with no test, and FDA for granting that exclusive to them. But we might just need them and the quivering masses of leftist jelly would whimper "Look! he's blaming the poor CDC and FDA - the bastard!!

This is what we heard from the CDC during Feb:
A faulty CDC coronavirus test delays monitoring of the disease's spread
During that critical interval, the CDC repeatedly assured the public that progress was being made, even as public health officials around the country began to raise alarms about the shortage of tests.
 1. In January, CDC officials boasted during the coronavirus briefings that the United States has “one of the strongest public health systems in the world.”
 2. Feb. 12, Messonnier said “rapid development of a diagnostic and rapid deployment to the states” is “clearly a success.”
 3. Feb. 14, she said: “We can be proud. … We moved quickly.”
 4. Feb. 21, Messonnier acknowledged problems with the testing kits, but described the issues as “normal.”

I was at the Turkey Creek Walmart around 7pm. Absolute Ghost Town. Other than ground beef, they had most everything. Much better than Walker Springs the last few days.

I went there tonight around the same time but I was in a laser focus mode on the one thing I was getting so I didn't even take a visual survey. 3 or 4 days ago there was absolutely no beef at all.

Interesting

Governor Cuomo said he is more concerned about the perception and fear. "This isn't our first rodeo," the governor recalled SARS, MERS, Ebola, swine flu, etc.

"This is a situation can be managed," Mayor de Blasio said. "Get ready, here it comes, we're going to all be able to deal with this together."

So far it does not seem to be a disease that focuses on our kids, in fact, the opposite," Mayor de Blasio said.

We'll have results within hours not days," Mayor de Blasio said.

"My message to New Yorkers is: take this coronavirus seriously, take proper precautions, stay informed, but also feel confident that our Health Department and this administration are prepared and ready."

“We are encouraging New Yorkers to go about their everyday lives,” said Commissioner of Health of New York City Oxiris Barbot.

“There is no reason for undue anxiety—the general risk remains low in New York.” said Cuomo at a March 1st press briefing

Because politicians are known for being honest....

Dems lie as much as Trump and the Republicans. And you lie to yourself by believing they don't. Politics lead many to try and fool themselves into believing one side is better than the other.

Told you, this is how much these sad sacks hate Trump. They preach science but they won't allow science because it may mean something positive for Trump. They would rather see death and destruction vs prosperity if it means they get the office in 2020.

Going to look really bad when reports come out of NY this week that the drug has been highly effective just as it was in France.
