I'm sort of with you on maybe just letting the chips fall where they may.

However, I have no problems with individuals who have been affected by the forced closings getting help.

Small businesses maybe need to be looked at individually, and maybe forced to audit for evaluation. Repay back, maybe case by case decisions.

However, if you are a high end 4A/B/C (4 classification is $10-49,999,999 million, high end meaning above $40 million in revenue) company, you are probably at fault for bad management and foresight. Any 5 classification ($50 million and over) I see very little sympathy for them, as they with great probability should be able to sustain a few months of complete downturn.

We have had the highest employment numbers in our lifetimes. Doesn't almost everyone have unemployment compensation insurance? It doesn't pay a fortune but it should get most people by for a while without the gov't sending everyone a check.

'08 was partially triggered by the failure of mortgage insurance. I wonder what this mass pay-out will do?

We have also created a culture of debt where nearly everyone is extended to the edge of their means. Unemployment will not get them through this. It may pay for groceries. Possibly electric bill as well. But there is going to be MASSIVE loan defaults coming out of this.

I'm on record saying that I may be OK with a tax amnesty for taxpayers. Writing a check back to taxpayers may also be acceptable in my view, since it's not welfare. It's their money. even then, I'm on record as only supporting that with a comprehensive plan for spending cuts to go along with the lost taxes.

Neither of those is equivalent to welfare, or giving phones to non-taxpayers.

So talked to the nurse at my doctors.

I could tell she was tired of talking to people about this, and I sympathize.

Told me not to get tested unless things get worse. More risk of exposure.
Told me they have no real progression for the 30 somethings and Covid. Same with symptom expression (I think that was the term). Basically me only having one symptom for now means nothing either way.
Be careful. Stay away. Self monitor.
Gave me a rolling two week stay at home. They are saying wait 2 weeks plus one day after your last symptom before going back out. And were even suggesting another 3 days or on top of that.

Basically they are trying to avoid the word quarantine as much as possible. Unless I actually get tested and come back positive. Said that even if tested and I come back negative they are telling people the same thing as above.

Still feel good. Fever down to 100. No OTCs. No cough or anything else. Energy level still good.
