Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

So just to lighten the mood a little. I love in Missouri. Since we are out of school till who knows when. My 1st graders music teacher just text my wife and said she was sorry that she forgot to include Rocky Top on the k-1 listening list while school is out. So she put it on the 2-4 list. So all the kids in 2-4 grade here have to listen to Rocky Top while school is out

Too much information.

Well I caught something boys. Right now it's just a fever at 102. And it hit fast. Called one of the helps lines. They told me to self quarantine unless things get worse. Going to call my MD in the morning.

This should be fun.

Achy and chilly to go with fever. No cough. No noticable shortness of breath, and I actually feel pretty energized. No pain or tightness in my chest. No other signs of respiratory gunk.
When I had the regular flu two years ago, this was my exact situation. High fever for 2 days. Low grade fever for 4 days. No coughing. No sore throat. Very little mucus. Strep throat was a living nightmare by comparison.

I've only had the flu once that I know of...I taught aseptic technique mixed IVs for years and consulted in nursing homes so the hand washing and other hygiene is 2nd nature to me..think I was 17 and I only remember either burning up or freezing constantly and not having the energy to take my jacket off while I laid on the couch for hours waiting for my mom to get home to take care of me lol

That's only for corporations accepting federal aid under the bill.

We can debate the wisdom of it, but it is specific to aid under the Act so it's not completely unrelated.
Overall the bill is pretty ******, but this seems like an effort to make sure the money actually trickles down to the people living paycheck to paycheck.

I think it creates a headache downstream for the companies and/or the workers when the loan or whatever is paid off, but I can see some benefit in not wanting this to be like TARP where the banks see all the benefit and then end up paying bonuses to their executives. You’d think 12 years after TARP they would have figured out a better way to make that happen.

Yup, that's the feeling.

Had the flu in the year of H1N1. Not sure if it was regular flu or swine flu but it was the worst week of my life ever. Felt like death.

With what I've read, they haven't figured it out yet, I had to stop reading for a bit.

You know that TARP actually made money for the government right? The amount paid back directly exceeded the outlays.

Plus the Great Recession was a financial sector problem and called for a financial sector solution.

Now if anyone can explain to me how including election reforms and Green New Deal elements will help fight this virus and the economic effects I'm all ears.

A little bit of humor and justice at the same time. Thanks, Costco.

Effing eff all of them on both sides. Kill the pork, shove the lobby catering bull crap, keep the Bill clean, concise, virus-centric and do what American citizens elected you ignorant asshats to do or expect to be jobless yourself as soon as your gig comes open to voting.

seems like so little to ask but neither side can comply

As an American I 100% fully agree! NO bill should have secret provisions!!! I remember the "you'll have to pass it to read what's in, Obama care bill from Pelosi. I remember the secret agreement Obama made with Iranians (on top of paying them billions of $$$ in cash). I don't mind helping our large employers (400,000 people work for Boeing) as long as it is a loan, no bonus money, no stock buy backs etc. until we are paid back (with interest, low interest , but with interest just the same). American working families-those that actually pay their taxes, their entire life, need some help right now-let's get that done. Dem or Rep that is trying to screw the country-needs to get gone in the next election.

I figure Nancy took every bill that Mitch has sat on and put it in here first one, while she drafted the one she expects to be a better compromise. Some of the same stuff.. IRS funding etc.. are in Mitch's current offering, looks like.

Search for keywords like IRS and Internal Revenue Service (1 hit), NASA, Indian, USPS, airlines, etc. None of that stuff is in there afaik.
Not saying it is perfect, but a much better starting point that that House atrocity.

Couldn't have said it better myself

The pork in this bill is over the top even for congressional standards . Why would you choose now to try and get everything you couldn’t get passed any other way ? We truly have some pieces of Sh!t in congress . I don’t care what side you are on , this is ridiculous.

I'm 97 pages in and in disbelief of some of the stuff they want covered.
If you've Ever had any doubts about their intentions-or how they feel about America-read what they are trying to do to our country, in this time of a war like emergency. You'll never believe or trust one again. Dems would have fit in easily and comfortably with Stalin-as long as they were getting some power for themselves, everyone be damned. Stalin, when asked about the millions (yes millions) of Russians that were dead and dying from starvation, he said, "The death of one person is a tragedy, the death of a million is a statistic". Can we see the similarity between the way Stalin thought and the way Dems think today?? I think so.

100 Americans died of coronavirus today. It's going to get worse.
You are on top of the Red Chinese bat soup virus, how about other causes of death? Those may be interesting as well.
Heart disease, auto accidents, house fires, etc., I'm sure there are plenty of others you'd be familiar with, as you are preoccupied with death.
