Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

A snippet about risk-limiting audits, intended to create an impression of shenanigans. A small piece of a section relating to conducting elections, safely during a pandemic, and people lose their sht.

Whatever, it's hopeless to point out the, apparently, not so obvious.
Why is it in this bill? And it's more than your "little snippet" regarding voting "during a pandemic."

Collective bargaining, New Green Deal carbon emissions, and, wait there's more. . .

What the hell are those doing here, they don't belong here.

Why was THAT the part that the GOP leaked and quoted out of full context? Any why have votes that waste time?

Just so you can make speeches blaming the other side, it would seem. And the GOP sheep follow dutifully.....

Because we have a pandemic. Have you heard anyone objecting to the upcoming elections being addressed in this bill, or did this little peek into it make you think there must be something rotten?

Why was it put in there in the first place? It doesn't belong there. Seems to me that they are taking advantage of the situation to push an agenda that is more than dealing with a pandemic and its consequences. You know, the reason for the legislation.

Carbon emmissions? Why are they there in this bill? Collective bargaining, why is it there in this bill? You are trying to just focus on that pertaining to elections when there is more BS that you are ignoring, conveniently, I might add. Wait there's more. . .

"Its just a shelter in place order"
Only so many are still getting paid to sit at home ( and supposedly do work ) and it keeps getting extended -- first it was til March 30 then Bluto (Pritzker) made it April 7 Wed he will make it May 1 --on and on until his big fat ego is right

Maybe if congress would make a one page executive summary of the bill available to the general public, these little brawls wouldn't happen.

They'd fight for a month over what goes in the summary. The Dems would want it to say that the GOP wants give big business $500 billion, with no guarantees on how it will be spent or who ends up with the money, leaving open the possibility that it will benefit management and large investors but not the front line workers. The GOPers would want it to say that the Dems want to include tax breaks for solar power and election auduts to ensure accurate vote counts.

Then let's see the Senate GOP version.

Since you and Mitch feel free to get up op on your high horses and cast stones, and all.

So you just said what is wrong with congress.

Regarding the Senate votes and political gamesmanship, McConnell knew full well that the procedural votes would fail. He knew there were not 60 votes there.
Why have them? The only reason was to weave this false narrative that the Dems are holding it up over solar panels and minority positions on corporate boards.
Wake up GOP sheep.
It is MCCONNELL playing politics with this, not the Dems.
Senate fails to advance coronavirus stimulus package

Republicans say Dems blocking coronavirus relief over ‘ideological wish list’

Dems are trying to include Permanent Left-Wing Socialist Programs......not a good look for the loony left.

So basically it is the same old, same hold in Washington.

I could speculate, but to what extent they are in there is basically someone's characterization, of it's present, possibly previous state, no way to know.

The Republicans are doing a better job of driving the narrative, but their methods stink pretty bad.
