And this event will change your life forever. The govt will create additional protocols behind the scenes... and in your face, as well. That is what I am saying. They already have set the precedent that they can shut down the country at the first sign of a "pandemic" that right now is floating around a 1.5% mortality rate. Do we do this again for another disease with a 1.0% mortality rate? That's still above the season flu? What about .75% That also is above seasonal flu. Where is the threshold? Who will set the threshold? What kind of govt agency(s) will be created in response to this? Air travel after 911??? LOL, consider air travel after this fiasco. How will this event affect that?

We know the media wants to kill the economy and we know why. I still hesitate to say this is an overreaction at this point. We see what is happening in Italy. Maybe the chances are slim that the USA has a worst case scenario but why have the population take a risk.

There is something really strange to me about this virus passing from person to person like this. The best thing to do is for us to suck it up and try to get through this as quickly as possible. That is how we help the economy and help life get back to normal from this Chinese Wuhan mankind killing virus. Funny, not funny, that the Chinese of all countries is already rebounding apparently. That why I said there should be a price to be paid for that tyrannical government.

I really don't care much about most selfish professional athletes, Hollywood, etc losing money. There is a lot of greed, delusion and selfishness there anyway. I care about the everyday men and women who work hard for a paycheck the means having a roof over their heads, food on the table and clothes on their back. My company is working from home right now but if people don't buy our products for a while or could have an impact on employment numbers.

Since you are throwing around the term Red Hatter I figure you welcome government overreach. And you are making a lot of assumptions about me and about what’s going to happen. Forgive me for not hitting the panic button. That kind of attitude is why we are where we are so keep it up.

That’s what I’m saying...this isnt a big city university hospital trying different drugs. This is an upstate community hospital treatment guidelines. It’s the only drug recommended. There may be some question of how it works, or how well it works, but apparently it is doing something.

1) You're trying to make it sound like it's permanent when it would be for a short length of time in the grand scheme of things. 2) What more data do you think is needed? When asked about possibly supporting a national lockdown, Dr. Fauci said that he supports whatever action it takes to get everyone to socially distance themselves. He's an expert on this topic. He isn't a politician looking to win re-election. He has nothing to gain in all this.

That’s exactly the way it works these days. My oldest is in 7th grade and they allow students who score lower than 75 on a test to correct the test and bring their grade up to a 75. So a student that actually tries and gets a 75 gets no better grade than someone who doesn’t even try and then makes the corrections after they fail. It’s absurd. Why try if you can pass without doing so?

True but, negative pressure rooms are scarce. I asked Ricky the number but I'd guess UT hospital has less than 100. Maybe less than 50.
