Fact check: Trump tries to erase the memory of him downplaying the coronavirus - CNNPolitics
From January until last week, Trump consistently minimized the risk the coronavirus posed to the country. He claimed to have the virus under "control," that the number of US cases would go "down, not up," that the virus might "disappear" through a "miracle" or something of the sort, that the virus might well vanish by April with the warmer weather, that the media and Democrats were overhyping the situation, and that "this is their new hoax," leaving it unclear whether he was calling the virus itself a hoax. (He later said he was talking about Democrats' coronavirus-related criticism, not the virus.) BULL$HIT.
CNN has gotten what right in 3.5 years of covering Trump? Right - nothing.
But now - NOW - we're to listen to them, right? Only the dullest of the dull still reference CNN.
The WaPo and NYT reports are damning indictments of the CDC and FDA's institutional slothfulness; the "experts" have no clothes. And yet Trump is being supremely presidential, taking the arrows that rightfully would perforate their hides.
It wasn't "unclear" to anyone with a post-elementary education. The left STILL claims he called neo-Nazis "fine people". Play your shitety little game of trying to contort to ridiculousness, any comment made by Trump. Meanwhile, Obama strangles babies onstage and tosses them into a basket, and we're to ask "Just what did those damn babies do to him!!"
It's laughable, and I'm not playing along.
