The Culinary Arts Thread

I've eaten there once in the last 20 years, about 8 or 9 years ago, and only then because it was the only thing open at the airport when we arrived for a red eye to Hawaii.

I like how you added a layer of uppity (Hawaii) to your already uppity post about the American treasure that is BK. Now Hardee's, completely understand and agree.....trash.

Well, now, Hardee's business model is focused on smaller communities, largely surrendering the big metro areas to the competition. Which reminds me, Carrie Underwood was born in Muskogee, OK (yes, the one Merle Haggard sang about), population ~37K. Beautiful people do come from small town America...

In the movie, Amalie, the title character removes her father's garden gnome and gives it to flight attendants, who photograph it all over the world, sending the pictures back to her father. When the flight attendants return the gnome, Amalie reinstalls it in her father's garden. Seeing the gnome returned, her retired father packs a suitcase and sets out on an adventure of his own.

This is the inspiration for Travelocity's mascot.
