Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

You can’t imagine. All of my restaurants are now to-go only. I essentially laid off 700 people in 4 days. They will have the ability to come back when business does. Until then SOL. Managers will be next in a few weeks. If this is still going on in June I will be furloughed. I will be fine but these people are fubard.

My two favorite watering holes closed for good today in town.

No incumbent should be re-elected

I’m terribly sorry to hear it, anything any of us can do to help out?

Not mortalities. Those 60 - 80+ are in more danger. If it follows Italy you will see almost no deaths or serious cases 40 and below unless there is an underlying condition.

Once testing ramps up those numbers should normalize to what we expect to see.

I wonder what long term health issues some of those healthy before the virus 40 and belows are going to end up with?

Trump keeps saying that the economy is going to immediately rebound after this.

I'm not so sure. If millions of people have lost their jobs and have no money to spend anywhere, how is the economy going to rebound quickly?

its not - it will take years

We have people show up at the ED with colds...I kid you not. Chief complaint... Runny nose.

Text from my friend who is an ER doc in Kentucky :
My Er is full this morning- no potential plague patients that I can tell. 3/4 of them are for insignificant, non-emergent stuff. In the time of plague, I would rather visit satan's a****** than a f****** Er if I didn't have a bone sticking through my skin.

It’s possible if the .gov doesn’t try to “manage” the recovery. If they get out of the way it can.
