Couldnt you say that during flu season?Your assertion on the first example is patently absurd. What if the customer is blind our can't read? Posting a notice won't allow everyone to make an informed decision. Even if that was reasonable(it's not) It's s public health issue and that is well within the government's jurisdiction.
On the second, they are perfectly analogous. Both can result on the death of employees or customers as a direct result of staying open in defiance of a mandated closure. The fact that someone who dies of coronavirus happens after more time is irrelevant.

If a law enforcement officer instructs the clerk to close in accordance with a government mandated closure, and the clerk does not comply, they are violating a lawful order and can be arrested. It's no diffrent that refusing to get out of your car during a stop. If the executives want the stores to stay open, they should come work the desk themselves and risk arrest. Expecting front line employees to face down law enforcement in thier stead or lose thier job in a situation like this is flat out despicable.Ignore law enforcement? Law enforcement does not have the right to prevent people from earning a living so yeah, everyone should ignore law enforcement and the politicians who issue these stupid edicts. Nobody is forcing employees to come to work or customers to patronize an establishment so the only people put in "danger" are the ones willing to accept it.
Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The right to peaceable assembly refers to public spaces and the right to protest. It does not protect private businesses ability to stay open, to my knowledge. Can you give an example of anytime that s court has ruled that way? I couldn't find any in an admittedly quick search.
Man there are panic rumors getting blasted all over the place even here in the US.What was all that panic rumor stuff coming out of China about lung transplants then? Just that, panic rumor BS?
I am conservative and have no issue with what some areas are having to do. Just wait until it hits home.
I went to work this week but limited my exposure in many ways. I normally see a lot of people each week. Worked, went home, was out one day for lunch and went to a few stores for food, etc. However, I found out two of my colleagues had dinner with a friend last week, and that friend later found out he had previously been exposed to someone who tested positive. There you go.
I’m of the age that I can handle it, but I haven’t seen my parents in almost a week and can’t help them with anything. I have 4 kids at home. To those complaining, you have to show sympathy to others. Not everyone understands how this could spread.
It sucks for small businesses. But it is a public safety issue. So why don’t you go order out at a local restaurant every night? The timing of this could impact our healthcare system. By the way, the government is not going to be any closer to a socialist society than before. That’s nonsense to me. JMO.
Word is the DOE has voiced displeasure and probably gonna shut stuff down soon.

OK, wait a minute. They just reported that as many as 20 million Americans could be infected and not know it. Well if that’s the case, then the infection mortality rate is less than the flu. So which is it? You can’t have it both ways. These are the scare tactics being used but they put everything else into question.
Uh, they do every day - you ever tried to sell crack on the corner?I am waiting and hoping law enforcement starts arresting people trying to earn a living.
Good lord, such a lazy answer that means nothing. You don’t have the intellect to understand. I would explain it to you but it would be futile. Plus your response strengthens my argument.
