Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Welp.... Our refrigerator went out this morning so we went to Home Depot this afternoon to get a new one and guess what? They are sold out. Damn hoarders 😡

Oh ,and you can’t order one because they are assembled in the US and they are shut down😡😡
Try a small mom n pop appliance place.

Taking a step back, I have to say overall that I am impressed with how strongly regular people are dealing with this. Attention to advice and even instructions, while not perfect, has by and large been heeded. Overall it is remarkable how quickly we have mobilized, as a country.

While I agree, it's the honeymoon phase.

The missed paychecks, housing concerns, food concerns, etc. Haven't started yet.

Not much nonsense really... I wish this could have gone down in December, I would have rather stayed in and slept through winter.

You think if the impeachment hadn't happened the virus wouldn't, either?

Of course not but the govt and public may have been better informed & prepared if not for it. Maybe we’d got test kits prepared or the travel ban sooner, who knows. This I do know, the impeachment trial was a sham, should have never taken place and diverted the attention of all government officials from their #1 priority- protecting the Citizens of the United States.

My bad. I don't remember you saying that in our other normal conversations. I always liked Knoxville. My grandparents lived out in Woodfield park off Chapman and John Sevier. My cousins and all still scattered around over on the west side of downtown. My granddad was a TVA engineer and had vested work in several of the older dams. He was a big on the conservation scene around there with the state in his retirement years. He died in 2000 and my grandma in 2007, so my trips to town have dwindled over time.
My son treated me to the TN/SC game this year for my bday (which means I paid for the tickets). It was his first big college game. Took him to Gus' before the game. He wanted to go back after, and the line forced us to 17th Street Market. My first time there and loved it.

My grandparents house is a mile or so further down Chapman highway, off of Old Sevierville Hwy to the left if you're headed away from town. Right before the Pixie (used to be anyway ) I grew up eating soft serve ice cream from there all the time. My grandparents were a member of a big swimming pool up by your grandparents house...we used to always go there on 4th of July if we werent at Myrtle Beach when I was a little dude. Good times. Some of the best memories of my life. My Pappaw retired from TVA as well downtown. He worked there a little over 20 years, after 26 years in the USAF. God rest his soul

Go Vols
