I’ve worked in “non-profit” for the last 6 years, but that doesn’t change their ambitions or priorities much unfortunately.

Well capitalism has steered this country into the last remaining superpower, not to mention many of the medical advancements being used to fight this thing, whatever it is.

At some point we are simply going to have to come to grips with the cost/benefit of our current response. It isn’t sustainable.

As most bev directors go, I used to tend bar.

I basically manage managers and keep up to date with cocktail programs. Think of it as a buyer for grocery stores but with booze and cocktails.

As many of us aren't real fans of the government tossing money around I think they are so far laying the groundwork for a lot of people to be able to weather the CHINA FLU storm and its commendable..and actually using funds to help Americans instead of, muslims who hate us.

I’m all for capitalism. Go live that dream. I just believe it has no place in two sectors, education and healthcare. Being motivated by profit hurts the quality of these sectors and comes into direct conflict with their inherent purpose. Educators and healthcare workers constantly face ethical dilemmas because their fields are driven by profit. This pandemic has made so many of those conflicts obvious. we do the right thing in a crisis (provide meals to kids in need, free testing for patients in need) but fail the rest of the time.

I was told about this last night actually. Wasn’t sure how real it was, but several people I’m friends with have connections to the CDC and Homeland Security and they are saying it is real and that a 7 day quarantine could be in effect as early as Monday. I didn’t want to share that because I was afraid it might be irresponsible, but t one of the guys I talked to I trust to not get taken on a ride by some BS.

We’ll see i guess.
