I never imagined so many Americans would be so willing to say "yes ok fine" when the Government told them to stay home and not work. Very scary
You sound like Trump...until 3 days agoWrong. Are you getting this from MSNBC? Yes, the hospitals are overcrowded. Why? Because everyone with a sniffle and cough assumes they’re dying when it’s usually just a cold or the flu. Or even if it’s corona, they’ll be fine. Meanwhile, that is LEADING to more elderly deaths. The freak out and the panic is doing that. People who aren’t in danger are taking beds from those who actually need help. It is not a serious illness to healthy people under 55 by and large! This has been noted everywhere Corona is at! Look it up.
More people died today in a car accident than from COVID. Are we losing our minds and avoiding cars? More people, especially younger people, were infected by H1N1 and by a HUGE margin. Where was this panic? It was killing and hospitalizing children by the hundreds. I think 700 million plus people had it worldwide.
Around 23% of Italy’s population is aged over 65, the largest proportion in the EU and 2nd largest in the world. More than 4m Italians are aged 80 and over.
As of Tuesday, 35% of those who have died from coronavirus in Italy were aged between 70 and 79, and 43% were aged 80-89, according to the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, the technical-scientific arm of the country’s national health service.
Facts.
And there are others that have said Trump is a dictator and incompetent and now want him to control their lives and tell them when they can leave the houseA lot of posters here have some soul searching to do. The same ones that beat their chest about freedom and small government have gone into full on panic over a Coronavirus strain.
In the 1770’s these people would have been saying “let’s just pay the tea tax so nobody might get hurt.”
It's never made sense to me that we have the constitution as listing the rights of the people that shall not be infringed. Then we see the gov't gets to infringe them in times of national emergency. Then that the gov't is the sole decision on when we're in a nat'l emergency.A lot of posters here have some soul searching to do. On (1) confirmed cases of covid-19 that (2) have been closed out, about (3) 1/10 are deaths.
What am I missing here Einstein?
shut the country down ASAP, this is serious and we can't risk it

Racist. JK. I wasn’t really involved in this thread back when it started. It’s amazing how actual common sense was used in the first 15 pages i read by posters on both sides of the aisle before it became political.Do some research on the Chinese culture and the foods they eat.
It is repulsive and dangerous.
Saturation numbers are affected by so many factors.Have you heard one of the newer things being done? They can see oxygen saturation drops in people who have it but appear asymptomatic. They've seen them drop to 90, sometimes even 80-85 on a pulse ox.
Where have I ever said that? I was simply responding to some who believe this is not intentional. He should drop the act for a while and realize it's not helping anything
I hate this bug, it's wreaking havok on our economy. I joke about it because that's how I cope with stuff like this, humor. Found out my oldest who works as import specialist for freight company is getting laid off for at least a month. He's just bought a house this past summer, our old house we sold him when we bought the farm. I hope everything works out for him and everyone else. The toll this will take on people is real. Best wishes to you all, and if you're in southern mid Tennessee and there is anything you need please let me know, I'll do my best to come through for you. All we can do is look out for each other.
