Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Temporary relief during a rough time vs a permanent policy for everyone are totally equivalent.

BTW, I disagree with the cash handouts.
Don't be so triggered. It is just a meme highlighting how quickly Red Hats will abandon their principles when the Trump administration proposes something, dare I say, socialist in nature.

It is a meme that I thought showed how quickly Red Hats will abandon their principles if Trump proposes something. That is all.

I think there will be a payroll tax break, as well as direct cash stimulus. Just my opinion, but I think it will be a pretty big stimulus package when they work the details out.
That's my point. Proposition A is that you don't know what the plan will be. Something, something, something... Your opinion... Conservatives are abandoning their principles by supporting the thing you don't know.

Do you see how stupid that sounds?

Again... Trump was for suspending payroll taxes so that taxpayers keep and spend their own money. You don't know what is on the table. It very well may be in principle what Trump already wanted to do--which is give taxpayers their $$$ back--which is far different than the socialism you proposed in your meme.

You're accusing people against things that you admit you don't know, and haven't happened. Who sounds triggered here?

Damn, it was just a meme. We'll see what comes of the actual stimulus package. I have a feeling you aren't going to like it.

While technically you are correct. But rest assured there is no way the president backs this without the Wuhan virus.

You are the one arguing about a meme. So take a guess.
I'm arguing about you using a meme to repeatedly say it shows that conservatives abandon their principles over something that hasn't happened yet, and you admit you don't even know what is on the table. Post it. Meme it. Rent an airplane and skywrite it. It's a dumb-ass premise that deserves to be mocked.

And I am positive I won't like it. Even if it's $1000 to only taxpayers who paid in at least $1000, as I said earlier, unless it comes with spending cuts, I won't agree with it.

I know I will catch grief for this but imma gonna do it anyway.

This is what private charities, churches, families, community groups are for. They can distribute aid to those in need more efficiently and more effectively than Uncle Sam can. Also, if tens of thousands need help, give it to them if we must. But keep it confined to those who really need; not $1000 to everyone who passes the means testing.

Lastly, we used to be taught to save for a rainy day. We don't do that anymore. We live up to and beyond our means. We carry credit cards for emergencies but we max them out and carry balances. We need to feel the consequences of our decisions. We need to alter how we choose to live. We need to stop looking for the government to answer every crisis because they create more than they ever solve. We are 23T in the freakin red because everybody wants more and simply expects politicians to give it to them.

At some point, all these chickens will come home to roost.

End rant.
I agree with you 100% in theory it’s not the world we live in. You know how I am on the deficit. But we could do nothing here. And potentially see how long of a depression? We need to demand responsible government spending, so that when we have National Emergencies, we can act.

Why the heck are so many of our drugs made in China? All it's gonna take is China curbing the export of drugs coming over here and we'll have one of the biggest crises in history. They've already been threatening to do so.

I hate the Chinese government so much. For them to have the audacity to blame our military for the virus and then threaten to withhold life-saving drugs from us just absolutely infuriates me.

Are you saying that the rush to make a vaccine is a waste of time?
I was thinking with the virus already being sequenced to date that places it in wuhan from oct 29 to Nov 29 that it's been here for at least 2 months already. Each sequencing will show how it's changing as time goes by. Wait n see preposition.

The blame game between the two is not helping. The Chinese have no credibility on this. Trump should ignore them and stop wrapping himself in the flag. Its pointless and in some ways counterproductive.

The disparities in data are still mind boggling to me.

Italy 3 times more documented cases than Germany, but 100 time more total deaths.

Running.a mortality rate of almost 10% versus 0.2%.

Dont get it.
