Welp, last night the restaurant I work at just shut down indefinitely. I am officially unemployed. Sucks.

Good news is I had signed up for UberEATS before this all went down and judging by my first couple days delivering I should be able to make enough money to pay my bills. Just have to hope that most of the restaurants using UberEATS don’t close. I only need to make enough to cover the next couple months before I get to the point in school that I can start trying to find a job in my field. If anyone knows businesses/companies hiring Junior Software Developers in Nashville, let a brother know!

A bit off-topic, but you had mentioned their remaining inheritance before. If your parents are in their mid 70s, I would imagine any retirement funds they have would now be heavily invested in bonds and not the stock market, assuming someone managed it properly. Hopefully turns out true for you and your family.

The general rule is 120-age = percent in equities. At 75, no less than half should be in bonds and money market instruments. Many managers will get even more conservative and go straight to 80-90% bonds/MM.

He took something valuable that belonged to another kid. For all I know it was another poor kid, but that doesn't matter. It sucks and it sucks that you defend it. Someone broke in my house in June and stole the one thing of value I had in my house..I freakin despise thieves..and I have done a ton of horrible stuff, but I have never stolen from another individual.

I will say that I know people can change, but if he was still poor...would he still be the person steals anothers hard earned valuables? Maybe not...I can give him that much benefit of the doubt, but what he did was not just stupid...it was evil, maybe not the worst, or even close to the worst evil, but it is one of the worst things you can do to violate another human being without raping or killing them.

I’m not defending stealing anything. You should never steal. However, most of the hate against cam comes with a lot of racial undertones imo and they constantly bring up the lone black mark on him, something from when he was 18 despite the fact that he’s been the beacon of a romodel for the Carolina community. Not to mention the whole laptop investigation was fishy to begin with. The laptops serial # in cams dorm didn’t match the original Serial on the police report
