There are some amazing memes I'm thinking up if I had the technical skill to create them.

Those of us with social anxiety, being hermits, or just dislike being in crowds would love the idea of going to the grocery and everyone keeping away. Going to work and not have that one annoying coworker practically spoon you because they have no understanding of personal space. We can enjoy life now.

Bingo! Not driving to work was the greatest benefit of retirement - I was getting into anger management range. For those guys who dropped in to the office and wouldn't leave, somebody in the group was supposed go somewhere discrete and call you - of course, that usually didn't happen until they made a couple of passes to grin and make faces just to rub your predicament in a bit. Like you, I have absolutely no problem being a hermit. The worst situation is a party or function where you are supposed to make small talk with people you don't know and generally have nothing in common with - really tough for people in technical fields where work isn't group-think.

I've been on a ladder cutting in the ceilings in the house we are going to sell. When I finish that and cutting around windows, doors, and baseboards , it's roller time. I've taken off all the electrical outlet and light switch covers already. Damn, I miss the Players' Championship and March Madness.

I think the new consensus is pretty much f*** deficit spending, who cares. There are no fiscal conservatives anymore.

And with the debt we've accumulated, maybe it can truly be said "at this point, what does it even matter?"

Maybe someone better at internet than me can find the exact clause and wording Pelosi wanted in the bill that would allow for federal funding of abortion. I can't find it.

Paying $10-15 for an 8 pound bag of the stuff sold by Fresh Step (Clorox) doesn't do much for my disposition. It's 1/16 to 1/8 inch particles, and over a dollar a pound seems absurd, but I have no idea what bulk prices actually run.

Declaring a NE was the result from pointless panic from the media and public. He shouldn’t have done it but I get why he did. Have ever declared a NE over the flu or heart disease?

I'm getting the impression it's "necessary" to declare an emergency to mobilize resources.

You've never been in a position where you voluntarily took responsibility (the blame) in front of your boss (in this case the citizenry) for something someone under you had done? Y'know.... a "the captain is responsible for the actions of his crew" kinda thing?

Trump eliminated the NSC Pandemic Response Unit so I’m pretty sure that’s coming back.

Right now it’s worse than being a football coach. If you do this and nothing happens then you’ve needlessly harmed people. If you do nothing and it’s an actual problem then you’ve harmed people needlessly.
