Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

China and Japan own a good portion of the US debt. It is what it is....manufacturing is not loving from China. If one thing that has been consistent is the American businesses will always put $ before people.

First I’ll tell you what I was told once .. “ this concrete you are standing on wasnt poured to be a day care center , it was bought , paid for and was poured to make money” . Now I’ll tell you that you should think about how much money , time , and charity of almost every kind has been donated by American companies to Americans .

Yes and it was shown his tests were actually negative, and the media continues to spout this BS for clicks
Then why did you respond to my original post at all? All I asked was if Trump had been tested yet.

I can't figure out who's a bigger moron, you or Justin?

Yesterday, over 100 Americans DIED in car crashes
Yesterday, over 50 Americans DIED do to the flu
Yesterday, over 100 Americans died from the Opioid Epidemic (much of this poison is coming from Red China)
More than 78 Americans were murdered in Chicago this year
3000 Americans die from food poisoning in the US every year
600-700 Americans are killed each year in the US because of boating accidents!!!
Where is the outrage? Where is the screaming and whining and finger pointing? Where is the stocking up on TP and Doritos? Something is wrong with this situation, is it really about the numbers?

How much longer can this last? At some point all the people panicking will have bought all the stuff they "need," right?
I don't know. That will depend on how calm everyone else can be. How many people weren't panicking at first and were living life as normal, but felt the need to go get toilet paper just because everyone else was lining up to buy toilet paper by the pallet?

Now how much of that will apply across the entire product spectrum?

I just made a quick run to our dollar general to avoid Walmart shoppers , plenty of TP and paper towels on the shelves and a cart at the end stacked full, I assume for restocking tonight . I didn’t see a self that looked like it had been cleaned out and the cooler was full of milk , eggs , meats . 🤷‍♂️

The number one reason that people go into business is to make money. If you want to serve your fellow man, join the Peace Corps.
Lot's of jobs and occupations where you can serve your fellow man and make a little bit of money.
People who are happy to make money while adding nothing of value are among the lowest of them all.

I don’t think it’s about the numbers. This virus is ridiculously contagious and very hard too recognize before it’s contagious. Plus we just don’t know much about it. The fear is of the unknown and The “what if’s”surrounding it. For me this is a good practice run on how to deal with something that’s relatively tame. Now if CWD ever jumps to humans we’re all ****ed.

What profession/individuals do you feel it pertains to?

I made a weekly grocery run a couple days ago and the TP/paper towels/disinfecting wipes were gone. Other than that most everything else was normal. My sister made a grocery run to the same place I went the next day and said they were almost out of meat.

I'm hoping it doesn't get worse. Maybe once everyone sees the world isn't ending they'll chill out.

What’s stupid about it? The guy was making stacks of money until third parties interfered. Even if he donates all this he’ll come out ahead.

Until the attorney takes all that for defending him once all the state AG’s start coming after him. The price gouging across state lines is going to go over real well.

Actually your post is a vague attempt to dismiss the question. How did the country-the Fed- and the media react to the last health epidemic/declared health emergency??? We know the answer, over 1000 Americans died prior to the declaration-and the media wasn't getting loose bowels over it-24/7. No, something is wrong with this situation, is it really about the numbers???

It’s not dismissive at all. I don’t know if this is the right reaction or not. Time will tell. I know Italy would do things differently if they could do it over.
For me I prepare for the worst while wishing for the best. Then again I already take measures to avoid getting the flu so not much has changed at my house.

Chinese labor is modern day slavery-I'm always amazed at how many people want goods made by slaves. Red China is the most polluting country in the world-by far-yet I'm always amazed at those that want to purchases Red Chinese products, but would boycott any American Company that polluted 1/10 as much!!! Woke......

Kaepernick gotta have that paycheck.

Unfortunately that (charity) does seem to be exactly how American companies view Americans, but it is far from the reality they need to see. The consumer and the producer are in a symbiotic relationship - neither can exist without the other. We can't buy goods that don't exist, and producers can't sell products without a market. Consumers cannot be consumers if they aren't labor - because they would have no income. Producers cannot be producers unless they pay labor to make what they sell. I think American companies or at least the people heading up the companies have forgotten that. There's obviously a lot more to the equation, but that's at the heart of it. It's a lesson we learn and then forget when times are good and one side feels it can take advantage of the other as adversaries rather than realizing we are all in this together ... we make it work or we don't.

Just at the Bearden Kroger, only because it is our normal weekly shopping day, not because of the panic. There were literally about 4 packs of TP. Frozen food aisle decimated. Funny thing, plenty of ingredients you would use for cooking from scratch. Lol. Idiots.

It's important that the workers do well for the producers to sell.

Look at that, a poet.
