Grocery store was insane. Totally understand why they cancelled my pick up order. Of course, there goes the notion of ordering groceries to avoid having to go to the store during this "crisis". People have lost their minds.

Might be living dangerously by not getting TP. Just going to trust that when I need it, they'll have restocked. Pray for me.

That's why it was a great thing that the daily WH press briefings died - the press embarrassed themselves so continually that it was of nation concern ... how could we possibly breed people who could be simultaneously this stupid and this arrogant - euthanasia for the liberal press would be a blessing for them and all the rest of us.

We ruled out 1 and have 2 more in isolation. I have to say my hospital admin is making me regret my choice to still be there. They are limiting n95 masks to employees (2 per shift) who are carIng for these pts but they are allowing visitors to wear simple masks and follow hygiene procedures. That's a real stupid. It goes against our own policy.

That's a problem. My take also. My childhood friend who's mother used to call us heathens
( she meant it in the strictest use of the word) never missed communion. Her elderly friends didn't either. I would imagine it might be much the same today.

Just tuned in again on ESPN looking for PTI or Highly Questionable w/Dan Le Batard. They got nothing going on w/somebody sitting there talking about golf. I can go to the Golf Channel for information if need be.

I said a couple of days ago we would have 2,500 cases by Monday.

We already have 2,033.

So I think I was wrong by at least a factor of 2 and we will have at least 5,000. And that number is going to skyrocket as testing becomes more widely available because the real number is probably many, many times that.

I would say that the actual number has been in the has been in the 10s of thousands since the end of last year. Nobody knew and freaked out.

It wouldn't surprise me if the cases grow, but it's probably been in the US likely mid December at the latest. This didn't arrive and blow up in one month. China knew about it since November and did little to stop the spread until mid-late January so I'm sure it made it's way across the world before most nations had much chance to do anything meaningful early on.
