I don’t disagree at all but unfortunately it is reality in some cases where parents aren’t taking care of their kids for one reason or another. If the parent can’t or isn’t willing to do so the kids should be removed but we all know it is far from a perfect system.I don’t. It’s fundamentally f-ed up if the schools primary function is nutrition and day care. Sending your child to school everyday doesn’t vacate that responsibility of the parent. Yes I understand that the lunch room in the school provides the meal, however I’ve always felt that food delivery should be the only responsibility. The assumption of parental oversight on this in public education is massive over reach as far as I’m concerned.
