So how many people in America are over 80 or have an underlying condition that put them at higher risk?

I don't think anybody is suggesting that 80+ year olds, especially with underlying conditions, should go about their daily lives willy nilly. Especially in areas where the virus already exists.

Overall, the reaction to this is more indicative of the reaction to a disease that has a 10% death rate (for the population as a whole, not just a subset). I believe in taking precautions, but this seems panicky.
