Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

Just saw a report on my local tv news talking about the thousands of volunteers spanned out all across the affected areas helping this morning. The reporter was in an area of Donelson. There was a utility crew out of Kentucky working and one of the workers from that crew and just broke down crying. After regaining his composure, he said that "in my 25 yrs of working in electrical utility and working disasters, I have never seen anything like this spirit and compassion from so many to help any way they can."
The VOLUNTEER State... Tennessee strong!!!

Man, I’m completely blown away. I posted earlier this week asking for recommendations on where to go in Asheville to watch the UT/AU game because the gf had some work thing and her company was paying for the room. Well she got me. As we were about to leave to head to Asheville she hands me a photo collage book thing...🙄🙄... I’m wanting to hit the road but she made this thing for me and if I don’t act like it’s the greatest thing ever then my weekend will suck no matter what. Anyway, it’s actually enjoyable and I could tell she put a lot of work in to it, great present IMO. I get to the last page, it’s after 9pm before she gets to my place and I want to go to get to Asheville and party a little...I get to the last page and I’m like oh cool you saved some of the game stubs of the games I took you to...look harder, she got 2 lower level seats for the AU game, a dope Airbnb, and G10 parking pass. She didn’t even know about the parking pass, whoever she got the tix from just threw that in. Also, she bought these before the UF game last week. She completely blew me away. She had no idea how big a game this was (and it wasn’t til after the UF game), had no idea it’s senior day on what was somewhat of a trying season but one that is ending very promising IMO, and this is obviously completely by happenstance (but I’m a history nerd and a big fan of nostalgia as well) but if I’m not mistaken this week is the anniversary of the Alamo...so I’m pretty damn stoked. We get to the Airbnb just after 2am, no WiFi and no cable, but that’s no big deal. GF wants to shower, I make a drink and start looking at the DVD options, top of the pile is Tennessee Football The Greatest Plays. I’m still in disbelief lol. But we’re sitting in 104, pregaming in G10, and post-game we haven’t even discussed. If anyone wants to pregame let me know!
Congrats on the sex while watching the "Tennessee Football: The Greatest Plays" DVD.

What bothered me most about last night was watching Matthew Mitchell out coach our staff. He is a former Vol grad assistant and a proven commodity. I wonder if we even reached out to him or any other veteran coaches for our opening.
They were never going to spend what it takes to get a proven coach. They would have to spend $1M+ for Mitchell ( he makes $825K now). Doubt they consider a male coach either. They'll go the way they have with football, keep experimenting with up and comers, let them have 3-4 years until they fail and fans give up. Wash, rinse, repeat. It's the Tennessee way. Hopefully the gamble will payoff at some point. Meanwhile, the legendary program that Pat built slowly disappears in the rear view mirror, much like Tennessee football has.

Lol at these officials. They won't let us guard them. Fulkerson was straight up. Meanwhile Auburn bodies up goes over our backs and no foul.
