the floor airbags went off to prevent my legs from getting mangled. glad the steering wheel bag didnt pop. would've knocked me out.

I didn't know air bags went off selectively - except for the passenger side if nobody is home. That's really smart logic. You'll probably have a nice bruise from the shoulder belt tomorrow.

I am in the same boat. I used to be 6'1", and now a bit over 5'11. Getting old ain't for sissies. I saw my parents both shrink several inches as they got to be over 90. Look at Jack Nicklaus now. He looks to be no more than about 5'7" or 5'8' when standing next to current golf pros. He once was 5'-11".
