2020 Presidential Race

I don't represent the Democrats, but I think they have put HIllary in the rear view mirror. Been there, done that and lost to Trump. VP will be another woman-- hopefully Kobluchar (Edit: Klobuchar?. (Michelle Obama would be ideal, but I doubt she would consider it)

I hear this a lot and I don't get it. Since when does being first lady qualify one for the top job in our nation? This was never a thing until Hillary but at least she served in the Senate before running for President. What has Michelle ever run?

Then why bother debating polices if that’s the only criteria the ones on the left have . I could actually say the majority of the vocal left . Picking a president not for his or her actually polices plans but a simple popularity contest doesn’t seem to be the smartest route to take .

I'm slightly center of left, so obviously, Biden's policies are far more palatable to me than Bernie's. But, again, it's all about getting Donald out of office. He's an existential threat to our system.

Barack?

The same things that qualified Trump. Hell, she is a lot more educated than him and also got to witness a competent White House on a firsthand basis for 8 years as opposed to the current shi* show/zoo.
Trump ran multimillion dollar businesses while Michelle was running around telling kids what to pack for lunch

They are all far superior to Trump. Given that fact, it seems only logical to elect that one that provides the best chance of winning.
Objective two is so much more insignificant than accomplishing objective one, it really deserves little consideration.

Again when you put someone at the upper most top of the horrendous list , it allows everyone and everything under him to be acceptable. This is the very logic used by dictators , socialists / communists and truly horrible people like Stalin , Hitler , and Mao to advance to power . This is the problem with your most horrendous and despicable theory .

I don't see how any Trumper can bring up presidential qualifications as a necessary criteria.
Trump had none.

Well he didn't get elected because of his spouse. If Michelle was married to you or me she'd have no chance. Trump had no base. Even Republicans were against him. He overcame all that and won by people voting for him. It's really amazing what he accomplished. Bloomberg fell flat on his face trying to duplicate it

Whats he a threat to? The economy was doing good the cornovirus is making the stocks drop but before that all was good.

As far as I know, she would be VP, right? A good reason to choose a VP would be because they are popular and would help you win. If something happened to Biden, she is very well educated, been a first lady, and would surround herself with a good cabinet. I don't think she'd be afraid to ask for help, if needed.

If that's all we ask for nowadays in our Presidents then we're in big, big trouble.

No, I'm just just saying she doesn't have the experience to be POTUS.

With her work history would you hire her to run a 100 mil corporation?
No 35-45 year old candidate would ever have more than 20 years work experience. Hell, Jesus and MLK had less than 20 years of actual work experience. James Madison and Alexander Hamilton were both in their 20's when the constitution was written.
I bet more than half the founding fathers had less than 20 years of work experience.
I think you are grossly overvaluing "work" experience.

I get your point, but i am pretty sure Jesus had a little more than "20 years of actual work experience" with the whole, you know God thing

It's the very problem of electing someone who is a horrendously despicable human.
It's also why I have repeatedly and consistently said Trump should never be normalized.
Normalizing and accepting the horrendous is actually how we ended up with truly horrible people in positions of power.

Lol no he’s not . He’s been in office for less than 4 years and our system is running above the average across the board . We have two men asking us to ignore the issues they helped create and just trust them this one time when they tell us that they will fix the problems ( that they created and did nothing about for decades ) these are the very things that pose the most serious threat to “ our system “.

Trump is very much an existential threat to our system.........and not just our political system.

Only to those that put him on top of that list . You create your own problems when you do that . You also lower your standards by accepting anyone below him on your list . Once you say he’s the worst , you can be talked into accepting anything . That’s not a logical thought process .

What makes Moochelle 'ideal' other than she is black, female (allegedly) and an Obama?

Fine. What kind of experience would you like to see in a President?

I want to see executive experience. Ideally being a Governor but running businesses are good too. I want to see someone leading people, solving problems and balancing books.

Be more specific. What's running well OTHER than the economy (ignoring our ballooning budget deficit, of course)?

Despicable human? Does this go back to his Billy Bush interview? You think folks like Bill Clinton and JFK said similar things? LBJ would urinate in front of folks cause he was proud of the size of his parts.

But that's luther. What's logic got to do with it, got to do with it, when he runs on second-hand emotion?
