Taking my wife to Charlotte tomorrow night for the Sturgill and Tyler show at the Spectrum for her birthday any suggestions on where to eat would be appreciated.
Id going with whatever @utkevdawg1 suggested... Honestly I don't get down there much anymore. There's several cool places at the epicenter.... But most of the dining we do now is out and about... There's some really nice places in the South end but that's not close to downtown....

I've always loved Cajun queen on 7th... But not walking distance to the spectrum center.

Auburn should've done the same with that fan who yelled at Vescovi to "Go back to Uruguay." Ejecting for the one game isn't enough for that.

It’s painful to watch the Lady Vols play basketball. Looking like an early exit in the SEC tourney at this point in time.

At the risk of exposing my shallowness, I honestly haven’t put much thought into it. 😁

On one hand, it creates community and a sense of identity. On the other hand, by nature, it creates exclusion and possible closed mindedness.

I think context is key, specifically how it is expressed. As a Tennessean, I take pride in the Volunteer spirit which serves to rebuild the tornado torn areas. To the extreme, theoretically, it would be poorly expressed by neglecting, let’s say, Alabama if the same tragedy struck there

Thanks for your reply because I think you are on to something important. Trying not to get too deep in the weeds.

It helps me to think about the 12 tribes of Israel creating the intended nation, all with different purposes and backgrounds that were meant for the good of all people in the world. Yet, what was intended turned extremely ugly when they turned inward with pride or started doing what God cautioned them to avoid, which involved doing what neighboring nations and peoples (tribes) practiced.

We are all included or excluded from tribes based on locations, choices and perception. To respect one another's tribal members and beliefs as long as they do not endanger others is probably the key. That being said, I cannot imagine going into a different tribe and expecting them to conform to what I believe should be, while denigrating the people in the tribe. Doubt that will work well. I know it has not in mine.

She gone

Kentucky fan apologizes for directing racial slur at Vol fan

She may really be remorseful but this reads like she feels bad for embarrassing the university. How about saying you’re sorry to the human being you directed your vulgar trash towards? This apology sounds more like she’s sorry she got caught. I’ve watched this video several times. This person has so much hate.

Maybe she's got some good practice faking it, you know, like your girlfriend.
