Agree. I appreciate greatness every time I watch Kawhi play.Lol sure.... I was going to send over some gifs of MJ’s travels and walks that werent called, but the files were too big. End of the day... all of the superstars get “calls” or “noncalls” that are to their benefit. Some of these old-timey people want to act like its only bron that has gotten the benefit of the whistle or non-whistle. They need to go and kick rocks and appreciate greatness when its happening.
i don't recall MJ ever picking up the ball and literally walking 5 steps before dribbling again....maybe I am just too old-timey and need to take a nap.Lol sure.... I’m seeing a firm 3 steps after gathering the ball. Yeah the rule changes are definitely for more offense, but they quit enforcing walking and carrying a long time ago and I hate it. Those are two of the most fundamental rules that everyone learns as a kid, but hey I guess once you’re a pro we can let those things slide a little bit? Nah. It’s high level pickup basketball. The total opposite of the organized ball played in high school and college. Though they are pushing the game at all levels to be more like the NBA. Which blowsRules have changed though. The way they now define gathering the ball has loosened things. You could make a case it wasn't a walk because he gathered after a step. Then he took his 2 allowed steps.
Same as football changing to allow more offense.

That's ok. #ScreenshotView attachment 264155
It is MHO that pretty much all crossovers are palm/carry violations and should be called. Everyone does it now, but it's a joke that it's considered a legal dribble now.Exactly. Vescovi gets called for a perfectly executed Euro crossover against UF. The big center for USCe does the exact same move poorly in the game following ours - no call. Either it is OK or it is not. Make the call the same way and make sure the rules reflect the calls and vice versa. Or keep letting chaos and cheating slowly destroy the integrity of the game. It’s getting worse every year.
That lady is hoping the whole time that the umbrella has the same features as the ones from Kingsmen so she can do this to that self-important douche...

It goes down to the college and HS football levels too. Talking rule changes from the 70s or so that hamstrung defenses, especially pass defenders, opening up passing offenses. And it's continued at all levels since then. You can have the NFL and the NBA. Truth be told, NCAA footballl has become less watchable also. The rules have changed so very much; defensive football is hamstrung by the helmet contact rules. Do away with helmets entirely if by mere contact, the defensive player will be at fault. No common sense in the administration of the game.
I hear what you are saying, man. But try to keep in mind that what they're doing at the combine is only one component of who they are as football players. For instance, there is nothing that happens at the combine that places a value on the fact that probably less than 5% of wide receivers could get blasted like JJ did on that TD catch against SC and still hang on to the ball.FOOTBALL RELATED POST:
I greatly value VFL’s like JJ, Bituli, etc. and seeing development of guys like Nigel brings a smile to my face for what the future holds.
Having said that, the combine was an embarrassment for the program. The tape don’t lie, but dang it these were our stars and none of them stood out amongst their peers. No wonder we’ve sucked for so long.
we're talking about basketball though....I need you to meet me at Chick-Fil-A so that we can talk about things over a spicy chicken sammich and waffle fries.FOOTBALL RELATED POST:

I get that. That’s why I put the caveat about the tape. But the simple fact is that we’ve lacked top-level athletes for a good while now and it shows in more ways than one.I hear what you are saying, man. He's gonna be a billionaire too. Warren Buffett is his mentor and it doesn't get any bigger than that. If all athletes followed his script, they would be secure for life when the sport is done with them. I admire him for what he's doing for his family and with his charity work. He can play a little ball too.I don't know much about his background, but how did he grow up hard? I was reading about him in sports illustrated when he was like a freshman in high school. Dude never had to go to college and was a multi-millionaire by the time he was 18.
People are too busy crying, whining, b!tchin over some flopping to see what he has done for other nba players, inner city kids, social justice, etc... (the bigger picture) all because he might be better than some mythical creature named mj.He's gonna be a billionaire too. Warren Buffett is his mentor and it doesn't get any bigger than that.
