Whether or not people are overreacting, the fact of the matter is people are reacting this way. I would say be sure you have some food storage because there is no guarantee that supply chains won't be interrupted.

Probably a prayer before a meeting started. Most likely included in that prayer is that our health professionals have the knowledge, resources and experience to figure out how to stop this virus from spreading further, praying for their continued health as they combat COVID-19 and for the American people. The narrative from the left that “Pence’s plan is to just pray and he thinks that will make it go away” is nothing more than taking childish pot shots at the man and, yet again, never missing an opportunity to make fun of Christians in this country.

I'm not so sure of that. In 2015 he rejected recommendations from the CDC and state lawmakers to implement a clean needle program to halt the spread of HIV. He instead turned to prayer. Obviously, that didnt work and after 75 people got HIV he approved a 30 day needle exchange.

It's not just the fact that he genuinely thought he could pray a disease away, it's the fact that he rejected recommendations from people who were smarter than him and knew more about the subject than him.

If he tries to pull that **** with Corona, we're all screwed.

Mike Pence isn't making decisions on our response to the virus. He is merely a facilitator for the people actually making decisions. The VP has some sway and pull so he can clear out a bunch of red tape and BS bureaucracy.

It will subside as it gets warmer but if it’s not taken seriously it will come back in the fall and possibly be stronger.
