I've been trying to provide a little actual medical information, scientific evidence, and logic, but it seems lost in translation. You Sir won the interwebz for this week. A well placed TOOL reference based on both logic and understanding of the referenced material. We salute you. May your camels always wander back to the watering hole, and your favorite beer always be "todays special."

So, see you down in Arizona Bay.
From my post above:
bout 81% of people who are infected with the coronavirus have mild cases of COVID-19, according to a study published Feb. 18 by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
About 13.8% report severe illness, meaning they have shortness of breath, or require supplemental oxygen, and about 4.7% are critical, meaning they face respiratory failure, multi-organ failure or septic shock.
The data thus far suggests that only around 2.3% of people infected with COVID-19 die from the virus. People who are older or have underlying health conditions seem to be most at risk of having severe disease or complications. While there's no need to panic, people should take steps to prepare and protect themselves and others from the new coronavirus
97.7% live. Thats most people. It seems to like the elderly, the young, and Bernie Sanders unclean types.
Forget the boat - go to Tahiti. Bora Bora or Moorea. Moorea is bigger with more to do, but Bora Bora was my favorite. Go June to Sept and there's almost no rain; the highs and lows don't vary - 80 day and 70 at night.
like 50ish k died from the flu last year in the US which is like 0.1% of actual cases. I wouldnt worry about it still though. Most deaths in China..a polluted cesspool. I'd be worried if this was dropping healthy people like flies, but it isnt.OK I understand what you meant by your original quote. Still... a 2.3% fatality rate is about 20x that of a normal flu.
