2020 Presidential Race

Life expectancy? Have you seen how many obese people we have in this country? There's only so much our doctors can do with that. Ditto for substance abuse. The former is likely due to worthless folks living off the welfare system typing onto message boards all day...

Let him tap dance his way into a corner , he’s headed there now .

So how in the world is their per capita health care costs so much less than ours? Ours is twice as high than pretty much every country in the world. That's the elephant in the room that every debate tries to avoid.
Because of drugs, gang related shootings, motor vehicle accidents, mental illness, and high rates of obesity due to diet. None of that has anything to do with our healthcare system

The U.K. has a population of 66 million . The U.S has a population of 329 million . With all it’s choices , gun rights , bad diets , lack of exercise , pretty much any and every possible thing you can think of at our disposal 24/7 ... the U.K. can only manage to keep 66 million alive essential one more year than we do with 329 million . Again ... I smell propaganda.

Yep. Just look at England. The waits are outrageous and the quality of care has gone down.

Of course quality will go down. Government ran medical will have diversity quotas and all the other liberal bs. Malpractice won’t exist just cross your fingers and hope you wake up.

Not much of a tap dancer, but I do enjoy watching it on occasion.
The problem with our healthcare industry is that hundreds of thousands (probably millions) use it as a cash cow without actually adding anything of value to the system.
You guys have a tendency to focus on the wrong people with your concerns about abuse of the system and subtracting something without adding much of anything. You chock on the gnat while swallowing the camel. But that's as intended.

That’s an interesting way to look at it since you are the one wanting to compare a watermelon to a plum .

It is apples to apples. They have a smaller number to cover but a smaller number to generate revenue.

Not even close to being apples to apples and that may well be the most disingenuous post I’ve ever seen from you . They have a smaller number and they can only manage one more year of life expectancy than us here in the US with all the lifestyle choices we have ? Not only that , you are far more likely to die in their health care system than ours . They have stopped giving out that number now , but in 2013 hospital death rates were 45% higher in England than in the U.S. ... Your rational and reasonable seems to be broken today .

Homeless, the mentally ill, drug addicts and illegal aliens are the single biggest drain on our healthcare system by FAR. What would you propose would solve that with universal government healthcare?

I actually do feel sorry for him . He should be home enjoying his life , hanging out at a diner in the mornings for breakfast with his buds , instead of out pandering to folks that he doesn’t know .

The majority of the money spent in the first four months of operations by The Lincoln Project, a Super PAC founded by George Conway and other “Never Trumpers,” has been paid to consultants affiliated with the project.

From its inception in November 2019 until February 21, 2020, The Lincoln Project has reported $180,624 in expenditures, according to its Federal Election Commission filings. At least $135,274 of these expenditures were paid to firms owned or affiliated with individuals listed as advisers to the group, or directly to the advisers themselves.

CNBC reported the details of the group’s public launch in December:

Biden Has Suddenly Started Claiming He Was Arrested While Visiting Nelson Mandela – But His Story Doesn’t Add Up

Former Vice President Joe Biden has a documented history of making up stories to make him sound more interesting on the campaign trail, and he’s up to his old tricks again.

In the past two weeks, Biden has suddenly started claiming he was arrested in South Africa while on his way to visit Nelson Mandela. As The New York Times reported, Biden didn’t include this information in his 2007 memoir and had not spoken about it prominently while campaigning for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

“This day, 30 years ago, Nelson Mandela walked out of prison and entered into discussions about apartheid,” Biden said in South Carolina last week. “I had the great honor of meeting him. I had the great honor of being arrested with our U.N. ambassador on the streets of Soweto trying to get to see him on Robbens Island.”

Biden mentioned the arrest twice more in the next week, claiming he was arrested in between attempts to get his wife, Jill, to agree to marry him. That meant the arrest would have occurred in 1977.

“But if Mr. Biden, then a United States senator from Delaware, was in fact arrested while trying to visit Mr. Mandela, he did not mention it in his 2007 memoir when writing about a 1970s trip to South Africa, and he has not spoken of it prominently on the 2020 campaign trail. A check of available news accounts by The New York Times turned up no references to an arrest. South African arrest records are not readily available in the United States,” the Times reported.

Former congressman Andrew Young, the U.N. ambassador at the time of Biden’s arrest, said he had traveled to South Africa with Biden but was never arrested and was skeptical that members of the U.S. congress would have been at risk in the country.

“No, I was never arrested and I don’t think he was, either,” Young told the Times. “Now, people were being arrested in Washington. I don’t think there was ever a situation where congressmen were arrested in South Africa.”

What in the world does a smaller number have to do with anything?
