2020 Presidential Race

My question how does a public servant be ome a multimillionaire?

Its sad the socialists praise bernie for wanting all taxes to go up. What the fools fail to understand is that gap between powerful and middle class widens as taxes increase and gov control increases. Bernie isnt going to feel the effects of tax increase as would middle class will
The wealth gap in this country is obscene and getting much worse under Trump. There are few nations in the world with a gab even approaching the size of ours.

You honestly think taxing wealthy people more will help the middle class' yearly income? It's not going help financially, it will only be a mindset.

That is certainly a component.

If im a lib or a repressive and my guy raises rich people's taxes to 80%. How does that help my situation? Does it pay for my bills? Does it give me a raise? Does it help me save more money? Thinking objectivity, it's not going help me.
It will only help my bitterness and envy against successful people

Understand socialists aren't going to stop with taxing the rich guys. They'll eventually come after you. You really think the wealth tax won't be amended to include lower portfolios in time? Do you really want the gov't going into people's houses and appraising the value of their cars, jewelry, Vols gear and all? Think about how that would work

I personally don't want the gov in any of my stuff.

The wealth tax is just a variation of the alternative minimum tax which was only supposed to affect the “rich”. Which in reality it was the Dem version of trickledown economics since it damn sure trickled down to the middle class.

I'f I'm currently paying 30% of my gross in taxes and it drops to 22%, that would help me.
I would have more disposable income.

So? The poorest of the poor here are far better off than the poorest of the poor elsewhere. I earned my money. You beloved .gov did not.

Imagine that you are weighing two job proposals:
  • Acme, Inc. offers you $50,000, but your boss makes $55,000. Income inequality equals 10 percent. AOC and Warren likely could stomach this.
  • Zenith Corporation, for its part, would pay you $500,000, but your boss makes $1 million. Income inequality equals 100 percent. AOC and Warren just raced out of the room with their hands over their mouths.

Also:

But the Gini did not stay in its bottle under Obama. During his presidency, Gini also edged higher — from 0.47 to 0.48, in 2011. It then stalled, past Obama’s departure. So, despite his blather about income gaps, the “evil” 1 percent, and his “You didn’t build that!” gut punch to America’s entrepreneurial class, Obama did absolutely nothing to reduce income inequality.

All those people will be minorities in 25 years. That's why their pants are so full of fear cakes right now.

This is way under your logic standard for posting . Do you mean that in 25 years all those people will get to claim minority status and receive the benefits from that claim ? I’m not seeing a fear factor in this .

Please define "fair share" what is the measurement of fair share?
Can you define it?
Are you the one who establishes what is fair?
Did congress apoint you as the one who established what is fair?
Ooooh excellent. A liberal that is upset about the definition of "fair ". I love it.

So i guess 50% of a million is fair, while 10% of 30k is not. Is that about right?

For what it's worth, i think everybody should pay the same percentage, no deductions, and only with a constitutional amendment.

And if you pay zero... you do not vote.

I see it as a positive that only two of his bills have passed in 38 years. Abd that's probably still two bills too many.
I agree. Just pointing out the worthlessness of his job. He has only had to do two things, or whatever the count is, to be reelected. Sets an astoundingly low bar. I think AOC has already done two.

I'm on record saying the top 50% are rich? I would need to see the context and supporting detail.
I think rich and poor are largely a matter of perspective. What is rich in a village in Uganda may be exceedingly poor here.
Who knows about the third house, maybe it's just an investment. I have never denied nor complained about Sanders having money.
You have said anyone making over 59k is rich. That's right around 50% on the income continuum. And that people making more than that shouldnt be receiving the benefits those below get, and should be facing higher taxes.

And just think, if you were consistent in 25 years you would be defending their every action and demanding the rest take care of the new minority. But I'd doubt that happens.
