Moviedom peaked with "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" in 1957. " The Creature from the Black Lagoon" was a classic also, but that was 1954.

I agree with you to an extent. I like the old movies story telling and characters. Once over the top action sequences and explosions became the norm, the story and character development suffered.
If Casablance or the Maltese Falcon are on the TV, I'm watching them, again.

Agree totally. I like to watch old movies because they depend upon a plot and character development, rather than blowing sh!t up.

Casablance , is that Ingrid Bergmans younger sister ?

You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old - George Burns.
I will never act old if I've made it 70 years without doing it. I take very little seriously because there is so little that one actually has under their control. I don't sweat the small stuff because it's pretty much all small stuff.

Casablanca is an incredible film...every role casted with the right actors imo

Wasn't it Bob Dylan and later Jimi Hendrix that sang "There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke?"

Got my gf a necklace and some chocolate. Got a nice home cooked meal planned as well.

First time getting her jewelry, see how it goes.
