Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

We have guys returning all over our lines. I think both will be top 3 or 4 in the SEC.
Unfortunately. We also return our qb

Our d-line was pretty bad last season, wasn’t able to put any pressure on the QB without bringing linebackers, safeties ext. So without that unit greatly improving I don’t see how it’s possible for anything better than 8-4.

Our D line was full of freshman last year.

Hopefully, they'll have matured and improved this year.

We need a better QB, run game, and D line to have a chance of doing anything this year.

I've always been open minded to all dog breeds, until today. A pit bull attacked my in laws yorkie. Unfortunately, the yorkie didn't survive and the owner of the pit bull had nothing to say for it. Let the yorkie lay in their yard all day without notifying the owners or anyone else. They had been looking for him for several hours.

Per animal control in their area, once a dog starts that behavior and gets a taste for it, usually it will happen again and it's only a matter of time.
oh boy, that's not a human owning a pit, that's an irresponsible jerk who didn't care about anyone else. To allow him to be there all day and do nothing.

Pit bulls should be eradicated.

You do realize how a 3-4 works don't you? How are 3 down lineman supposed to go up against 5 OL and get pressure?

I understand how a 3-4 works and so far it hasn’t worked very well for us because we haven’t had the line to run it.

Check the d-line sacks. The inability of our line to produce pressure exposed our secondary to big gainers.

I am not arguing the quality of our DL, although I think we are pretty good, not typical Alabama good. The NT occupies 2 OL and even Terrance Cody only had like 1/2 sack in his career and he was very good. Of course we could always use a better DE that can win his matchup.

I am just saying the quality of the DL is not necessarily determined by bringing safeties and LB's for pressure. Just think it the incorrect metric to use. In a 3-4, you have to use these OLB, specifically Taylor, in a up/down position or the Star every time to have any pressure. The 4 leading sack leaders for AL. this year were all LB and Star.

So, I've been dating an equestrian for the past couple of months, and she finally "asked" (obligated) me to attend one of her competitions this past weekend. So here I am, in a nice suit (her suggestion), and I have to say, while watching dressage riding competitions is exceedingly entertaining, the crowds at these things are the absolute worst.

It's literally just a gaggle of super wealthy people damn near creaming their pants over which/how many horses they own. It was nerve racking. It's as though the horses are valued more than the riders. It came to a head when I heard someone mock my girlfriend for owning her horse and riding without a sponsor despite placing top 3 in most of the events. I'm a little older and wiser, so instead of weaving a tapestry of obscenities at this woman, I took a breath, turned around, and calmly asked her whether or not it felt like a waste of money to see her 60000 dollars consistently lose to an unsponsored rider who paid less than a fifth of that for a horse she trained herself. She apologized for offending me, and I apologized for not saying something sooner. I was then asked if I was her sponsor. I think that was the worst part.
this is awesome.....👍🏼 Well done

So after losing my brother dad and pappaw back to back...my mom had to go in for surgery to get a pacemaker last week. Doctor punctured her lung with a needle apparently and 48 hours later her lung collapsed at home...911 back to Blount Memorial to get a chest tube etc..the trauma from that caused a heart failure. ICU for a couple days...she did well though and gets to go home today.

Granny (wife of recently deceased Msgt. Webb ) had to go 911 from passing out. Long story short...her kidneys failed. Nothing they can do except dialysis..she tried it a couple times then quit eating. She says no mas. Sending her home tonight with hospice and they say 1 week or less. Love her very much.

So for those keeping score... I had 2 brothers, 2 parents, and 2 Gparents little over a year ago.

In a week I will have 1 brother, 1 mom...and that's it. Thankful for mom doing better even though at this point I think she has no desire to live. Her husband and both parents now gone in a very short period of time.

God doesn't make mistakes...and we operate on His clock. From here it feels pretty bad though. I am honestly still kinda numb from it all and get hit by waves of grief sometimes from nowhere. Doing my best to keep depression at bay for my kids. I dont even really want to be here anymore but checking out isn't an option with kids. There is more to life than just pain...but I dont remember what it actually feels like. Surreal.
I’m sorry Marcus....I know how devastating this is.....when I lost my mom,dad and brother over a 15 month period it took me a while to get back to feeling normal again. Hang in there bruh

Also, the pit bull was loose and came into my in-laws yard and got the yorkie, then took him over to his own yard.

As more of the story unfolds, found out the owner of that dog is raising 5 other pit bulls. All of which were in kennels in garage and not very pleasant to others.

I understand it's not just pit bulls that are aggressive and the responsibility falls in the lap of the owner. Although with that said, it seems that the majority of dog related attacks these days are from pit bulls.

I didn't think it was possible either. The irony is that my wife pays all the bills and hers is 832, I popped off about it and now I have to watch that she does pays, she may send the cc bill a few days past due just to put the screws to me.
I’ve encountered this same situation ....drives me nuts

I'm torn between the unprotected convenience of using debit cards and my 8.5% apr Visa credit card that offers fraud protection. I rarely carry cash anymore.
I typically carry a small amount. I carry a fifty with a couple of fives and ones underneath..... the fifty never gets spent and the fives and ones are used as both filler and high school basketball tickets.

With three down line that's to be expected imo. I got no problem bringing a fourth or fifth. We saw vs Indiana it works.

Just saw this man, Praying for you all.

I tend to agree, but I do know of a few situations where sweet pits went nuts
We have an American pit which wandered on our property about a year ago. Were there any indications in the situations before the sweet pit went nuts?

Watching the last 10 laps in this NASCAR race Busch Clash at Daytona raceway.
They just had a nice little crash w/about 4 to go. The car's engines sound good. I haven't heard in awhile.
