You can dream that they won’t destroy us, but man is taking this Artificial Intelligence way to far. It can come to a point that even in the political world, that they can rule us. Meet Sophia the robot here.

What a gimmick. There is no reason at all to make a robot/android look like a person. Why does this thing blink? Why did they waste time on facial expressions? I've done a lot of automation projects over the years and you make the machines to do the job needed, not make a machine to look like a person. I've got a robo vac running around my floor now, but it doesn't look like Mrs Cleaver pushing a Hoover around.

Dude built a robot and can’t figure out his mic is muted. I’m not concerned about that model ruling over us. Also I have enough AP ammo to keep them at bay for a while.

Robots doing unskilled labor are here already and will become mainstream. We have a couple of projects going right now to use them on certain warehouse tasks. Employees don't seem to like them very much though

Depends on what the robots "job" is.

Wtf? There are and will be reasons to make them look like people and will happen.

I think that you are right. We are not thinking right. We are humans making a big mistake here, and I don’t see it slowing down now. Technology can ruin us, if it is to much of it.
They don’t need a human like robot/robots like this. The more I think about it, a huge mistake is coming.

I have listened to Lex Fridman on this and he believes we are still a long way away from ai being an issue. Job working robots are not going to be anything but productive
