The Atlanta Braves

Gonna be a rough couple of day for me fellas...

My grandmother who was almost like a second mother to me and was mostly responsible for my love of Braves baseball lost her battle with dementia after 3 years. We are headed to Chattanooga for the visitation and funeral.

If you are the praying type, my family would really appreciate it.
Sorry buddy. Praying for y’all.

lol saw that. Love it.

the ironic thing re: Steph is he is probably the one who made the call to ship Andre
Definitely not the way that it played out.

Having said that, don't understand Steph wanting to get himself into any of this, absolutely nothing to gain. Iggy isn't saying anything right now, why would he need to?

Favorite part when something like this happens though is I get to see a steady stream of middle aged, white collar looking dudes screaming about players "wanting smoke" or "catching bodies" all over Twitter.

Where do you think all these talking heads are getting their crybaby story?

Have no clue but don't understand reporters having a problem for either side. Don't know why a player wouldn't feel the way that the dudes on the Grizz do right now but (if it's true both sides agreed he wasn't going to play this year and would just be used to deliver more assets) don't know why there is an issue with his stance either. I thought the league and all the players had decided that the "player empowerment" era was going to be the right side of history to be on, no?

People saying they should just let him walk so he can sign elsewhere is the only take I truly don't understand.

Andre is on national TV talking about wanting to mentor young players and where he’s going to play next. Think he also took a shot at Memphis as a city.

Of course Ja and Dillon are gonna be pissed. He could be helping that team to the playoffs.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I’ve been watching my Mother-in-law die in slow motion with Alzheimer’s for 5 1/2 years. It’s excruciating for everybody.

He couldn’t do more than Jae Crowder is and the guys LOVE him. Iguodala is washed.

Yep. Agreed he didn’t have to show (don’t know what his problem is but don’t care or need him). BUT
Report came out yesterday that he will sit out the season unless the Grizzlies trade him (not just in general but) to the team he wants to go to. He’s been crying about wanting to play and yet doing everything in his power to not actually play.

F him and the horse he rode into town on. I hope they call his bluff, he sits the whole year and his 37 yo ass gets no contract offers and fades away into retirement.

If an NBA team were gracious enough to grant me 25 minutes per game, I could score 5 friggin points

I often think about this. If I got 20 shots in an NBA game; how many points can I rack up? Obviously I’ll be shooting from outside, and obviously no one is going to respect my game... Im gonna hit double digits more often than not.

Well that is probably exactly what he expected, similarly to when Atlanta acquired Hawks legend Carmelo Anthony as part of a trade and then just waived him outright. There were some Hawks fans at the time a little pissed that Atlanta didn't try to get anything at all out of him, but the justification that came out of the team was basically: players and agents notice and remember this stuff, and the drama and loss of goodwill probably isn't worth a five-year-out 2nd round pick or whatever they would have gotten for Anthony at the time.

The problem for Iguodala seems to be that Memphis didn't think he was as worthless as the Hawks did Anthony. Maybe they thought a contender might give up a good pick for him at the deadline. And once Memphis made it clear to that they were going to hang onto him as a trade chip, then the professional thing to do was suit up and play while they worked it out. And now that Memphis turns out to actually be good then he just looks stupid.

There’s a real life article on the ringer proposing a 3-way trade with the Grizzlies landing Cam Reddish, Brooklyn’s 1 and Houston’s 2 for Iguodala. There’s a 0.0% chance that happens, but for some reason, his trade value isn’t zilch.

Chaim Bloom calls ya. Says he doesn’t like what the Dodgers and Padres are calling and wants to explore other teams to see who wants Mookie Betts. He says he wants your best offer (I know it doesn’t work this way). You don’t have to take Price.

What’s your offer?

We also acquired a 1st round pick just to take on iguodala’s salary

GSW PAID us to make him go away
