Not that. The Clintons don't carry that kind of power any more on the left.
The Democratic Convention will be like the 1968 Convention in Chicago and President Trump wins reelection easily like Reagan won the 1984 Presidential Election.Isn’t that odd that in just 3 short years she went from the mostest , bestest , can’t lose , perched on a mountain top , to can’t get a job @ the local Starbucks ? Do you think that’s what will happen to Bernie when the DNC shivs him again?
Hillary will ride in on her white horse to save the Democratic Party![]()
Small potatoes for Hillary she wants more!Interesting angle
Is Hillary Clinton angling to become vice president?
I hope I'm dead & gone a couple of years before AOC is ever elected to be potus.
Good God, I can't imagine those that are still here what they will go through just to live day by day.
What a nightmare scenario that would be chalked up to see.
The anti-war folks were out in big numbers, raising holy hell. They got their way in the next Pres election in 1972, and nominated McGovern. Seems like he won a state or 2, can't remember. He was from South Dakota, and I believe he won it.It was so bad that it was dubbed "The police riots."
You think this country is in turmoil now? 1968 says "Hold my beer."
This is why I think Biden will get the nod.
George McGovern won Massachutsetts and Washington DC and lost his home state of South DakotaThe anti-war folks were out in big numbers, raising holy hell. They got their way in the next Pres election in 1972, and nominated McGovern. Seems like he won a state or 2, can't remember. He was from South Dakota, and I believe he won it.
I was just noticing yesterday the ages on the stage behind each candidate. Biden's were much older, but Bernie looked like he had 19 year olds sitting there.Let's be honest, Sanders will not sniff the White House. We all know it, but I think him winning the democrate nomination would be dangerous for this country. Even the democrats know this and that is why there is an under current working saying he will be stopped.
The problem with all this is:
1) Sanders has gone after the young, idealistic, immature voter that is looking to blame others for personal decisions. He has also connected well with radical, foreign nationals that came in through immigration resettlement.
2) Sanders supporters were violent the last time Sanders lost. If I had to guess, most of the demonstrations last cycle were led by Sanders supporters and many sane democrats got caught in the middle and rode the emotional wave. It was democracy and anarchy at work at the same time. Law enforcement would be better served to not allow this to happen again. Basically you can demonstrate, but you will "not" block streets or "loiter and destroy" property like savages.
3) We would like to think this is a phase like Mccarthyism but I doubt it. With the advent of social media socialists, like any other bad or good idea, can reach an infinite number of people and keep their message going. After this election the Sanders personal dream may be over, but he has moved the democratic party left and there are several more radicals that have been elected to keep his dream alive. They are younger and just as idealistic. Democrats for decades have been leading higher education with progressives but socialists are going after them in high school.
