Siap, full Ole Miss mod thing,
"“Source close to Evans says he doesn’t think it’ll be Tennessee. Source didn’t know where it would be, if anywhere, but guess is UGA.”
Second update...
" Tennessee coaches went to visit Evans in houston today. Evans told the UT coaches he was 'headed across town.' When the coaches said theyd run by and see Evans grandmother, Evans told them not to worry about it and that she was leaving the house. The Vols, obviously, do not like their chances at this point. Based on what ive been told by people close to him, they shouldnt. Id guess he signs with UGA, if anyone at all.""
Well he isn't going to UGA so the Ole Miss mod is wrong about that. So I'd say he's wrong about the other stuff too.
Are y’all talking about Whitehead or Tee Hodge? Seems they are both in the same boat with the RB/LB debate. Good problem to have, having athletes that can play football regardless of position. Fulmer made a killing moving safeties to linebackers or linebackers to running backs. Hopefully our coaches can ultimately get them where they need to be with minimal strifeAccording to the kid directly, they only recruited him as a RB. I think he would've gone somewhere else otherwise. I don't think he wants to be a LB. Maybe I'm wrong.
Not exactly ground breaking but I really don't think anyone knows what tf this kid is doing.
Not gonna pretend that I wouldn't like to have the talent but I'm not gonna muster a whole lot of heartache if we don't get him, either.
What elite coaches still want him? UF got an in home and pulled off. Has Kirby changed his mind? Haven't heard much from Jimbo lately. Is Pruitt still interested after yesterday?I think this is a good example for why rankings from recruiting services are dog@#$. What the f#@$ are they measuring? How good a player is? How good they'll be? What matters more, emotional maturity or their athletic ability? On the field production, or measurable from a paid camp or 7v7 tournament? It's all conflated, and their evaluations are all piggy-backing off of the evaluations of coaches anyways.
Scrolling through the profiles and seeing draft predictions for 17 year old kids who haven't played a snap of college ball...it's peak absurdity.
If this kid is supposedly making all of these headaches and you still have elite coaches trying to snag him, that's all you need to know about his talent.
The recruiting guys have echoed your thoughts. Nobody knows what Evans will do. Even if he were to say he is coming here, he can still go somewhere else.
I kind of feel like you do about him. Although I will say he would likely be a stud RB here. We need a guy like this.
