Nowhere near the drop Leonard Manuel got. Went from .998 5 star top 3 WR to now ranked .88 3 star ranked #121 WR. All due to off the field issues.Prior to their official release, 247 article makes it pretty clear Evans won't be a final 247 5*. Nothing to do with talent, just all his "issues". Basically unable to trust him going forward.
But he's #11 composite rn. Odds are he'll be a composite 5* anyway imo.
Why can't it just be an evaluation of the physical ability to play college football? Forget the NFL and their brain and their behavior. Then you have a prediction of what they are capable of if they behave and get in school. Would make life for the evaluators easier, and they could start as all new service of how college players are doing to make the NFL. Heck, even break it down by Freshmen up to Seniors.Nowhere near the drop Leonard Manuel got. Went from .998 5 star top 3 WR to now ranked .88 3 star ranked #121 WR. All due to off the field issues.
Remains to be seen. Structure certainly won’t hurt but have a feeling Ill be fielding some calls if we get this kid to get him out of some predicament if you catch my drift. Worth the shot though IMO
If he signs the least you get is NSD publicity of Tennessee landing a 5* that was committed to GA to go along with the new RB coach we got from A&M. This will go along way in getting more 5* RBs in the future. The most you get we can enjoy dreaming about. If it doesn't happen with him it could with the next ones that come in.I like high leverage, high reward opportunities. Hoping everything comes together with this kid and it all works out in the end. This is the kind of opportunity you have to pursue, and I'm confident we mobilized the right personnel to get the deal done.
It’s based on whether 247 thinks he will be a first round pick. He has character concerns and RB is a devalued position. Makes sense for him to not be a 5 starIf he drops on 247 without being weighed, timed , or playing another down did his talent level all of a sudden diminish? Am I being too logical?

I have always wondered what the conversation is like when a recruit cancels a visit close to signing day to a school. Is it usually a text message that says I'm not coming? Does the recruit call and say he's not coming and then there is an awkward silence? Does the school usually try to beg them to come anyway? How does the recruit break it to them? Is it like "i'm not coming for the visit but I still might come there" or is it like "i'm not coming for the visit because I'm no longer considering your school"? How does this usually go down?It did fall through...however it was due to a miscommunication/timing and not lack of wanting it to happen. Something is being worked on and I would say just look to see if he cancels UGA visit.
Yeah they hash out who they believe will be first round picks. They base it on film, camps, all star stuff, and what they’ve heard about the player as far as personality. Evans’ off field is the only reason they’re going to take away his 5th starI've never paid that close attention to how the stars are given out. Are you saying that they only give out 5*'s to players that they think will be first round draft picks in 4 years? So do they only give 32-5*'s?
Yeah essentially. Barton said that they even view players rated as 86-89 as great players. Guys that will make a huge impact in college. Their “measuring stick” is the NFL draft. They’re constantly breaking down the draft as far as where players are drafted and what their measurables are. They then building their rankings off of thatTells me all I need to know. Not a dime's worth of difference between a high 4 star and a 5 star.
