This is the easiest sale to a 5 star RB this staff will ever get. If I’m wrong please explain which team has a better opportunity for this kid. I’d love to hear it. If he gets here this weekend I’ll go a head and call it. He will be a Vol next season.

I take his info with a grain of salt, and certainly don't get bent out of shape if his info doesn't end up coming to fruition.

And those of us who don't view Atlanta VOL as the absolute truth live rent free in so many posters' heads. This very conversation here was started, not by an AV skeptic but by a poster who took an unprovoked shot at "non-believers" (his words not mine).

eh. UGA still has plenty to sell.....

i don't disagree that we have a great pitch too, and for the first time in a long time, there's not a ton of football reasons NOT to choose TN. OL, check. QB, check. on the rise, check. winning in the SEC, check. OC, check. and then all the things TN has that compare favorably to anyone else in the SEC as far as stadium, campus, academics, facilities etc, etc, etc.......

biggest disadvantage i see is just the lack of relationships....while we may have recruited him loosely over hte past few months, i think it's safe to say he still probabl has the best relationsips with aTm and UGA and aTm seems to be out of it.....

all that, and this kid's recruitment has just taken some weird turns. so i'd be hard pressed to "call it"...........

Honestly, the best thing to do is just ignore it and move on. There's no end otherwise.
It's ALWAYS gonna be everybody else's fault and " they made me comment".

They just mad because we didn’t get a highly rated recruit that ATL said we were in a GOOD POSITION with NOT 100% GETTING.

People just pick the things they wanna complain about. The same ones would complain we didn’t win a NC by enough points.

I hope he is right too but worries me the part he told me about Georgia strong arming the kid and blocking him from any SEC team since he signed with UGA the way I understand. Not sure how that works legally but I'm afraid the kid or his family will freak out if being threatened by UGA. Hopefully Nieds does his magic and reassures the family and kid that Knoxville is the place for him and they can get him in, eligible with no repercussions from UGA and get him on the straight path to a bright future. My friend can't stand Kirby or Georgia, he is actually a FSU fan.

I have never watched video or anything on Evans but my friend who has ref'd high school football in Houston for over 20 years keeps telling me he is the real deal and will play on Sunday 100% in the future and one of the best to ever come out of Houston area. He claims he is a good kid from a good family but has made some kid decisions and perhaps the recruiting process has went to his head a little much. I think my friend goes to the same church with his family plus he has ref'd a ton of NorthShore games this year and in the past.

I am no recruiting insider or anything just a die hard 40 yr Vol fan living in Florida, just bringing what I was told to the discussion from a friend ex co-worker who is close and knows the family well.

If they released him from the LOI, how could they block him from going anywhere? Sounds like a BS scare tactic if true...

It's not so much Atlanta Vol as it is the cult of characters that post and hinge on his words as if he was a true insider or a coach or a God.
What is so bad is the Following that post and believe until it doesn't work out like it should and then defends him.
855 posts that may have some accuracy with "I can't tell you or I will at a later date" and then he disappears for 1-2 weeks after the smoke is clear with a one-liner that clears nothing up.

You can't ignore him because of the groupies......LOL
