FIVE-STAR RB ZACHARY EVANS
Evans, the nation's No. 1 running back in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite for the 2020 class, was released earlier this month from the National Letter of Intent he signed with Georgia last month during the Early Signing Period. He had chosen the Bulldogs over LSU and Texas A&M, and he was set to reveal his decision Jan. 2 at the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando, Fla., and arrive at Georgia as an early enrollee. Now he's back on the market and in the process of exploring other options, and he could visit Tennessee as early as this weekend after getting a visit Tuesday from Vols tight ends coach
Brian Niedermeyer.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Evans is coming off an official visit to Ole Miss last weekend, and LSU and Texas A&M hosted him on official visits during the season. He still has two remaining official visits, and Tennessee and Florida State both have been hoping to get him on campus this weekend. Georgia now appears to be back on his radar and could get his final official visit next weekend.
