Polls show two thirds of Americans want the Senate to subpoena documents and witnesses for the trial. Of course, Trump defied subpoenas from the House, and he would also defy subpoenas from the Senate. Instead of standing up for the Senate, McConnel knuckled under to Trump like the coward and criminal accessory he truly is. He has consigned the Republican Party to the garbage heap of history, as Reagan once said of the Soviet Union, "willing to tell any lie and commit any crime."

That guy posted no facts to prove his assertion that Trump committed treason and no explanation on why charges of treason are not in the articles of impeachment. Instead he first tried ignore, then he tried "I'm on my cell, look it up for yourself", then straw man, dodge and red herring. Finally he vaguely addressed those issues with his "feelings" about how Trump had conducted foreign policy, without once showing any proof that a crime had been committed. Then some razzamatazz about Russia and a German bank. There was the whole, motive, means and opportunity BS, when those just being present does not always mean a crime has to have occured. I think he's still pulling his panties out on that one.

The House stupidly sent an incomplete investigation over as articles of impeachment. Now wrap yourself up in "troof" to cover up the failure at trying to railroad something through without sufficient information or even in a fair and impartial way. Doing it the way the Democrats did, without a single member from the opposition voting for it, and, in fact, having a Democrat or two in opposition as well, should tell you that your party did not take this action as seriously as they should have. Purely a political move trying to undo an election that surprised and disappointed them and within 10 months of a new election to fill the office. A party, that coincidentally, has had members pushing for impeachment since the day of Trump's election and before he even took office. A party that already had entertained several motions for impeachment before this one.

Who can believe your party anymore, that they are seeking "truth"? It's a joke and the end result of this process was already baked into the pie and y'all act surprised and shocked at what you see as the callous disregard for "truth".

I don't know of anyone who was pushing him to be the dem nominee.
Anyone who assists in rightfully and legally bringing down Trump has some heroic qualities.
