I don’t think being impeached has had the outcome that it was supposed to have had . Other than an asterisk in the history books , its looking like it will just be a blip on the screen .

the real story

House could fight WH for access but instead decides to push to Senate. Why? Exactly what you see and the reaction of the loyalists.

Other than Bolton (wildcard) the court fight to bring witnesses/documents will take as long in Senate as House - it does nothing to expedite the case.

So what's the strategy? Sabotage Trump in 2020 AND sabotage R Senate in 2020. This isn't about removing Trump - it's about beating him and hopefully winning control across the board. It's all political theater.

Sad that the Dem nuthuggers are so bent out of shape about an Impeachment effort that Dem leadership doesn't even believe in. For the latter it is a means to an end.

I heard an economist that worked in the Trump whitehouse speak tonight and she said the problem with dealing with China is that if Trump is too tough in negotiations then China can just wait Trump our whether that’s 1 more year or 5. Granted, Trump can do some damage to the Chinese economy in 5 years but they will play the long game if they have to do so.
