Of course you don’t care about teaching kids to eat healthy. You are a fast food loving fat diabetic yokel making insurance premiums skyrocket. Meanwhile people that take care of their body pick up your tab. That’s the kind of socialism you like though I am sure
Most kids choose not to eat school lunch since the program was put forth. Mine were 2 of them. I went to eat at their schools several times. It was harsh. Big surprise.

It does suck, and I will pack my kids food every day but some kids don’t have that luxury and those are the ones that need the most help in life.

When I was a kid, occasionally the school cafeteria would serve a dish called "Taco Surprise". About the only surprise would be that it even remotely resembled anything close to a taco. Carrot and celery sticks would have been a huge improvement. At least you could wash those down with 100% whole milk without gagging. But Lord help you if someone made you laugh while drinking that milk and half way chewed carrot sticks. . . worse than water boarding.

I have two that have graduated and one who is currently a junior. I doubt any one of the three took their lunch more than 20 times.
The lunches are pretty good most of the time.

Hold the flavor: Georgia students eating fewer school lunches
Since 2010, the percentage of Gwinnett County public school students who eat school lunch regularly declined from 81 to 69 percent.

Edit - Not in Gwinnett, next to it, and our numbers are a tad higher. And our food is a tad better.

I think it’s all location , some schools offer pretty good food , some not so much . Our middle and jr high school were not so great but the high school had good food and offered a wide variety .

Nah, pointing out the obvious. But it doesn’t make me exactly jubilant that I pay for people that make their life miserable.
Kids eat what tastes good until they reach a certain age where they diversify a little more. I had one that would eat pizza rolls and Mac n cheese for weeks. Her menu at 19 is pretty healthy. They eventually come into their own.
