A great offensive line doesn’t guarantee that everything else in an offense — let alone an entire team — will fall perfectly into place. But it can and absolutely does help every other place in the program. And that’s exactly why you should be feeling pretty good about the offensive line Pruitt and his staff are building at Tennessee.

And our 5th year senior QB could and all but certainly will torpedo and sink the boat to the bottom of the ocean.

Yeah man that QB should not have let GS and BYU just drive down the field at key moments in the game. The QB missed tackles, blew coverages and just flat out got out played. And the QB got out coached as well. Man, we need a better QB so that he can play ALL positions on the field so we never lose another game.

Yea man interceptions and not enough good throws to our top receivers and preventing the sack sure did help right? Oh wait...

They absolutely were a part of the loss. But lets look at it closely. We were what, 26 point favorites against GS? So lets just say the defense does just an adequate job and holds GS to half of what it scored. We win by 12. Lets say the defense doesnt allow them to rush for 213, go 10-17 on third down and 1-2 on 4th down. How much do we win by?

But yeah, its all the QBs fault. So was it all Trevor Lawrences fault that Burrow shredded their vaunted defense? How about Hurts fault that Burrow hung 60+ on them?

So better QB play and we would have won it's that simple. Defense didn't help sure but JG was never consistent and cause us two games last season the refs caused us the bama game and JG sure didn't help out their either. Fact is he missed wide open people countless times. You can win games if all you can do is get to the red zone and occasionally get a TD. Pretty crazy how others agree and sport writers said the QB was a D at best for the grade. Yet you wanna put the blame solely on the defense? Sure bud have fun with that

Solely on the defense? Hardly. JG definitely helped with the loss. But again, look back at the GS and BYU losses. If the same degense that played in our last 6-7 games of the year played GS and BYU, I dont know if either one of them score. JG has definitely cost us points in the redzone. But we have also had drops, bad routes and the OL getting tanked. No he didnt miss wide open guys countless times. You are making things up to fit the narrative.

I'm aware that you're being sarcastic (and maybe a little narcissistic considering the entire thread) but I do like facts, and stats aren't the only kind of facts. The things the poster said in the post you replied to with stats were also facts.

And if JG played just as good as he did against south Carolina against GS and BYU then we would have won them even with the same playing defense.
