Hell..they barely beat this years Bama team..come on man. That Miami team and the USC team, and those old 90s Cornroider bulldozer teams all played GREAT defense..

Offenses are way better and more dynamic in today’s game. They’re much harder to defend. Those Osborne Nebraska teams were built on strength and conditioning before it was ever a big thing. That was the program’s advantage.

LSU didn’t play great defense all year but it gelled at the end of the year.
